  1. 100% "don't even try to live in their real lives"... you just don't know that. people can make mistakes, know they did/are doing the wrong thing, still not be able to control it, but they could be trying. who's to judge that they "don't even try?" not us. Deion, Lane, Rhule... do they live "clean" lives? maybe, maybe not. but do they get a pass because they don't "espouse beliefs"?
  2. Freeze managed to put Ole Miss in the Top 10 while competing in the toughest division in college football. And he beat UAT twice. And he has Liberty competitive against Power 5 teams. More competitive than Auburn. Those screenshots above—most recruits wouldn’t care. Do you think Malik Willis cared about Hugh Freeze’s phone records? He just wanted a chance to shine on the football field.
  3. Some of us aren't even sure what the allegation(s) were. I heard something about not understanding southern and/or black culture, but don't know if there were specific allegations. I don't know, man, depends on what's provable, I guess. Was that the only serious allegation that warranted further investigation?
  4. I think some are still interested in the allegations to know if he truly was treated "despicably" at that time or not. Asking what those allegations were, and if they were likely true, is not dragging him through the mud. Also, I think many of us fail to see the benefits of you repeating "let's move on" because you've decided so.
  5. goodman is a click-bait hack. What he said here might be true, but I won't ever give him the benefit of a click.
  6. Yeah, headline was misleading, sounds like he's saying the firing was disgraceful/despicable, but he's talking about what may or may not have motivated the inquiry in February. But yes, Rece doubles down and says "Did the best he could. They lost a bunch of double-digit leads, too, so he’s not without blame here, but I don’t think it had risen on the field to be the level of a fireable offense." Well, I'm glad Rece isn't our Athletic Director.
  7. How about we fire Harsin, hire another soft coach that is a best friend to all players, run off the ones that liked what CBH was building, and start all over again?
  8. Yeah, I thought you deserved it. Thanks again!
  9. You're very fiesty. I'm not complaining. Just wondering if we know of any reasonable candidates.
  10. LOL, that would be a lost cause--this thread is what it is. Just wondering if we should have a separate thread, and ya'll can carry on here.
  11. So... I guess we should create a new thread if we just want to talk about potential OC candidates?
  12. Don’t watch that closely, but used to go to a fair number of Women’s games back in the Vicki Orr, Carolyn Jones, Boltons, and Trematiere era. Anyways, hard to believe this years team beat Georgia Tech in Atlanta and a Top 5 Tennessee, and still lost 7 SEC games in between. Seems they have a ways to go, but there seems to be some excitement in the program for the first time in a few years.
  13. Alabama was probably the better team last year, but losing Trey Sermon at the start of the game was a big blow to the Buckeyes ability to compete. He had run for over 500 yards in his last two games before going down on the first drive.
  14. Both teams last night were miles ahead of Auburn in talent, some positions more so than others. Bryce Young is really good, but not surprisingly, he struggles against pressure, as he did against Texas A&M and Auburn. He'd struggle with our OL and WRs, for sure. Alabama's third best WR is not nearly as good as Ohio State's third or fourth best WRs.* But their D is much better. *Heck, their second best WR transferred from Ohio State because he may have only been the fourth best receiver on the team. Georgia's D is all Seniors and Juniors. Hope they all leave for the NFL. New DC, too. Muschamp?
  15. Link above to his profile. Yes, he is Brian's brother.
  16. Funny you should mention Sean White. I remember him playing severely injured against Georgia. In both cases, I thought it was really sad that we had not better prepared a backup QB and were forced to keep playing an injured, less effective quarterback. Good luck to Bo, but it's time to move on.
  17. What was that quote about Bear Bryant? That he could take his'n and beat your'n, and then turn around and take your'n and beat his'n? Well, this could be our chance to have Bo Nix at QB and beat Ole Miss 3 years in a row, then turn around and beat Ole Miss with Bo Nix at QB. 🙂 Of course, it could turn out different... 😕
  18. So, back to Daren Bates' YouTube channel. I see they've posted more Iron Bowl clips, including one where he talks about avoiding "Eugene". He said something like "ya'll *** know how I feel about Eugene", and talked about Eugene standing in the middle with his hands on his hips, and other players over by Daren that didn't want to be near Eugene. I didn't realize the players really disliked Chizik so much. Can anybody give insight on what they really feel about him? That he was an idiot? That he took all the credit? That he was phony? I really don't know the scoop. I've kinda gotten to like him okay in half-time shows, but probably because I don't know the dirt.
  19. Sounds like basically his daughter told him "Dad, stop being a p****."
  20. If it was so easy, anyone could do it. I can’t do it.
  21. Well, I’m pretty sure you’re wrong, but at this point I’d sure like to see Georgia lose by 20+.
  22. I don’t see that, even if they lose by 28.
  23. I’d trade Tyler Fromm for Bowers!
