  1. Sorry but only a knucklehead would blame Tank for not going out-of-bounds, when play-calling is what cost the game. Multiple instances of piss-poor play-calling throughout. None are worse than after picking off bama, Bobo decides to throw the ball, giving it right back to bama, good field position with only a few seconds off the clock. Let’s see: bama down 10, and backed up to goal line, as Siposs had done all game. Now they have roughly 7 minutes to score twice. Instead, again due to very poor play-calling, bama has 11 minutes and good field position. This is just one instance of mis-management and head-scratching decisions throughout. We had great field position most of the day, better than could’ve been expected. Got nothing out of most of those drives, many ending without a fight. For instance, red zone, short yardage, with an immobile QB and no real threats at WR. Bobo went empty backfield on a couple of crucial 3rd downs. Finley sacked. Yet, a kid making a split-second decision to get the 1st down, and win the game, is the knucklehead? Maybe Tank knew with the idiotic play-calling and tired defense he had to get that first or it was over. Good grief.
  2. Lots of good publicity for Auburn/Harsin. Assuming people actually visit SI's recruiting page.
  3. I didn't realize M'ba was chronicling his recruitment with SI. Pretty cool going back and reading his perspective.
  4. Absolutely correct about Loeffler, but the state of the program is no where near what it was in 2011. Harsin is a man with a vision, Chizik, not so much. Time will tell if you are right, but no OC was going to succeed in 2012
  5. Lots of great players from Birdsville. Toughness, smart, hungry for a new life. Great combo's for success if given a chance. Mr McCreary got his chance and made the most. So damn happy for guys that grow up like that and make it in this world, regardless of profession. War Damn, the Mob!
  6. Don't want to get ahead of myself, but M'ba looks like our answer to left tackle. Reminds me of Kouanjio, even Robinson, coming out of HS. We need help everywhere but 6' 6" #300, and very athletic. We need help on both lines, but damn I'd love to see him get a look on oline.
  7. @Zeekhow much Adderall per day? 😂 Seriously, appreciate you guys, @paladin included that bring the goods, daily
  8. Get Trovon Reed on the field as either WR coach or special teams. Hell I don’t care if his on-the-field position is in the booth drinking cocktails. Need him recruiting all year.
  9. Gots to get McLittle’s into fresh beat band, corny but cool for kids and yo gabba gabba. My kids would tire themselves out dancing
  10. I'd like to commend the veterans of this board, you all have a wonderful gift of redirecting these type of threads when the masses start getting a little too personal with the debates. The redirections are always the best part. Kudo's
  11. It was. Harsin was thinking.. "what do I do next week? starting TJ would help the locker room tremendously, but doesn't give the team much of a chance of winning. At that point, anyway. Or maybe that's when it occurred to him he wasn't going to "develop" Nix, ever.
  12. To be fair, if it were Kristi, we wouldn't have a clue as most of it would be incomprehensible.
  13. Nah he caused me way more pain, then I ever caused him. It's my way of passive-aggressively getting revenge. Seriously, can you tell someone about the world today without mentioning the past? That's where we are, searching for answers, none of which matter, but we are on a forum and that's what we do. I emailed Gus multiple times, not just about recruits, either. If he had read them, I wouldn't post on a forum my disdain.
  14. The one of the few things about my kids getting older, they can appreciate Farley, McDonald and such these days. Such great comedy.
  15. I feel ya, my better half is a Pappadeux's kind of gal. Both are great, if you don't get robbed prior to entering. lol
  16. Waking up extremely hung-over praying that "sack" has one or two Krystals. Half of my mornings for 10 years. Still love Krystals though.
  17. Maybe that's why I, my bowels, can't tolerate WH these days. I don't drink anymore. lol. Never had that problem when I was plastered every night.
  18. I haven't been to Texas since I was a kid, and where we were Buc'ees would've looked like a power plant. They are definitely an example of the bigger in Texas deal. Probably their mission statement
  19. Another Huddle House denier I see.
  20. Oh my! I will have to see that one sometime. I hadn't heard of Buc-ees before and couldn't believe what I saw the first time I went, which was just the closest place to get gas at the moment. I talked to a lady at Buc-ees one night who was from Texas. I told her I hadn't heard of Buc-ees, she jokingly asked if I just moved to the US. lol
  21. Development comes in all forms, and is only successful if the protege is open to learning, being criticised and working on the things they need to get better. As I mentioned, I don't put the blame on Bo for any of this. Being 'the man' and coddled is what he knows. Doesn't take criticism well, which is never good for a position that is looked to as the leader of the team. Harsin is akin to an NFL coach in that he believes its business and wants you to just do your damn job. Harsin did more to develop Bo as a leader, someone the guys admired and looked at for guidance in difficult times, then any coach before. There were a lot of clashes between the two, so the transfer wasn't unexpected. There is no doubt Bo was getting the instruction he needed to finally develop his potential, so that is all we can ask from Harsin right now. No way to say for sure if Harson is truly "developing" any of the guys, only time will tell. But as the saying goes about the old dog, new tricks, Harsin inherited a room full of old dogs, and Bo was the oldest. Really tough to go from little criticism to having everything critique. That is part of the job for QB's they are seen as leaders of football teams due to their importance, winning teams need their QB to act like one, to set the example, on the field, in the classroom, in the grocery store. Everywhere folks are looking to see how you react. Must've been a complete shock to Bo, certainly something he didn't take well. Should a coach be held accountable for not "developing" folks resisting being developed. I don't think so. Harsin at least recognizes that, which is why the portal was loaded with Auburn players in the Spring. Harsin ain't fooling with old dogs. Which is one of my criticisms of Harsin we don't have the depth of quality talent to run off every old dog. Not unless you are filling your class with guys who can play early, especially, linemen. That hasn't been happening, but yesterday was a step in the right direction. But without 4-5 true OT's coming, high school or transfers, we are in for a long, long year.
  22. Well, Gus' tenure provides a lot of evidence he sucked at evals and missed, but really it was more about the lack of effort to develop the QB's in general. Gus wanted a ready-made, ready-to-go QB. We know those guys are few in numbers. No HS QB steps on college campus and is where they need to be, as a QB, as a leader. Gus is the anti-QB whisperer, but he is also a guy that reads a room of important people. Turning the reigns over to Bo before he truly earned it, made the folks Gus wanted to keep happy, happy.
