  1. Should’ve been a tackle in-bounds and clock running. It was obvious. There is a lot of subjectively to it, but go back and watch early in the game. Folks make contact with ball carrier before they go out of bounds, clock runs. See it every Friday and Saturday. Our HS rules are very similar if not exact. They almost always call it that way with any contact by the defender. Just add it to the list
  2. That crew in particular is on the national radar after the Penn State game and others this year. The Penn State game had folks that I know who think we over-exaggerate bama's "advantages" were discussing how bad that crew was and biased against Auburn. I guess the NCAA coming out stating McClain shouldn't have been called for targeting, the SEC and this crew are conscious not to spend the entire game shafting Auburn. It's just a helluva a note that we are happy the refs called a half on an Iron Bowl fairly consistent. Of course, Danielson was there championing calls for bama, so that helped set the stage for the shaft. I've become more sensitive to TV, CBS/ESPN swaying opinion with what replays they show. They rarely show replays of a play when bama should've been flagged, or they show a terrible angle. Bama had a DE lined up way offsides on a crucial 3rd down stop, dudes head and shoulders were over the line, when they showed the replay, it was from the end zone not down the line. Then on the bs holding call after Hunter's big gain, they showed the end of the block, with the kid falling, not the whole engagement in which there wasn't a hold at all. This is why none of this means as much as it used to. I am so sensitive to the advantages bama has, I spend the game pointing out the no-calls, the terrible spots, etc instead of enjoying the game. Just amazing what happens when Auburn has a somewhat level playing field, even for just a half.
  3. Don't forget Chandler. Dude played his tail off yesterday...all season for that matter. So much leadership from that side of the ball, it's a little depressing thinking about it. I just feel terrible for them how the game ended. They did all they could to win. That last drive shouldn't have occurred at all. Two plus minutes left on the board with one very stupid play call. Oh, and I can't forget the stripes and the questionable calls/no-calls in crucial situations. I guess bama let the officials know if they see one of their DB's fall/flop, throw a flag cuz Auburn is holding. Just feel terrible for the guys.
  4. Not at all, and he did enough to win the ballgame. Play-calling wasn't suited for him, nor did it give us a chance to win. So many opportunities with possession starting at midfield or better. Even with the missed opportunities, if he runs the ball after the pick we win. Even if we don't gain a yard, game is over. Throws a pass on routes Finley had been over-throwing. Pick for bama and the rest was inevitable.
  5. Bobo lost it with his terrible play-calling. No back sets in the redzone, medium to deep routes on short yardage, not running the ball after the pick, no reason in the world to throw a pass there. Game should've been over long ago
  6. This has a lot more to do with Bobo and his dumbass play-calling. Game should've been won 20 minutes ago
  7. 3 runs after the Young pick and we would've been celebrating 15 minutes ago. Coaching....
  8. Absolute worst play calling I've seen. Empty backfield in redzone with an immobile QB, No short routes on short yardage, now this crap. Bobo needs to be gone tomorrow
  9. This doesn't change without bringing in a quality class including quality transfers. Forget bringing in his players, he isn't brining in any players at positions of need. I just don't the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. More like 3 years of misery.
  10. The best way to do that is to bring in a talented recruiting class, guys talented enough to push for a starting spot. That ain't happening. Hate to say it but this marriage needs to end.
  11. And this is the biggest issue with the team. The constant talk to the media about the guys working hard, being accountable, is a hard pill to swallow when the coaches aren't being held accountable. This team was always going to have some turmoil as many were Malzahn fans, because he wasn't hard on them. That's tough to overcome but many bought in and work their asses off. There is a talent issue, a coaching issue, and a locker room issue. I don't see any of that getting better next year. Also, many money folks have been completely turned off by Harsin. There just isn't any aspect of the program looking up. Fire Coach Corn when his Boise guys were performing just as poorly. Ofc those guys still have a job. Pretty easy to see how Harsin lost the locker room.
  12. To be fair, Harsin inherited a team with lots of upperclassmen, including a starting o-line with all 5th year Seniors. There is a reason we don't see a whole lot of 5th year guys anymore. That is the origin of the problems from an X's and O's stand point. Lots of upperclassmen not used to having to work very hard, and not used to being held accountable. That being said, his constant talk about accountability is hard to swallow from the players perspective when the coaching staff isn't being held accountable for their poor-performances. Tough situation that I thought would get better, but the poor recruiting says otherwise. I just don't think this is good fit anymore. Not a single aspect of this program is trending upwards.
  13. Please! Staff needs to be gone, and stay gone.
  14. Dude should’ve been fired before Coach Corn. Ofc ST’s is about effort and discipline, we don’t have either. That falls on Harsin. Can he fire himself? One can only hope.
  15. #7 should be #1, the kid could barely walk, and you call that s***?! The order really doesn’t matter, they are all bad, he’s is a complete moron.
  16. Hey chief, how bout you keep that clown s*** to yourself. I know circuses entertain you row tahd bitches, so take your ass back to the trenches. The cult can't survive without you shovelling their s*** so off you be. And no one cares that you bought your ol lady a snow flake tarp to cover her with. **** the fact she needs a tarp should be concerning...
  17. For me, it's the consistent improvement, not just weekly, but in-game. The fact we have won on the road in the 4th quarter is all one needs to know as to why a change was desperately needed.
  18. In the words of Christopher Robin, this is exhibit A in the court of opinion whether or not we have a competent staff. Bo Nix isn't playing like Bo Nix.
  19. For the record, I hate cereal. My wife, understandably so, ignores me so here I am.
  20. I just cannot believe this is even a thing. In the days of NIL, count on Auburn to be the only program in NCAA history to be placed on probation for improper gifts. Amazing!
  21. See now we have found common ground, instead of point blank calling comments dumb without taking in all to be considered. But you are factually wrong about the witty part. If sarcasm, attempts to be witty, etc were so easily identifiable, trolls wouldn't have a platform. Think about all the topics that exceed their thread count because an obvious troll is taken seriously. Like this one for instance.
  22. The point being, yes Auburn broadcast is bad, I wish Stan were gone long ago, but its a "family" with a helluva a lot less budget than a CBS sports crew. CBS is in the business of making a profit, correct me if I'm wrong, but Auburn broadcast isn't. What does the combo of family and not-for-profit get you? Auburn broadcast. That is why I was pointing out the two aren't comparable, all things being considered.
  23. This is exactly why defensive guys hate the offense. WR's catch a few passes, score a few touchdowns..."A" grade. Linebackers, 2 of them playing pretty much every play, are asked to make a decision in a millisecond, as to whether they are needed at the LOS, where they are needed at the line of scrimmage, or if they must turn and burn 15 yards in to pass coverage, while keeping one eye on the QB, the other on the guys running at you full-speed to see which one poses the biggest threat. To hell with the fact 2 guys played most of the game and accounted for about half the team total tackles, they only get a "B+" because LB'er isn't that difficult. These journo's non-stop attempt to keep LB'ers from getting any credit. Pitiful! Disclaimer: this is me trying to be witty. Football folks, the one's that played/coach, will hopefully appreciate my playing up the defense gets no respect deal here. But I completely understand @Brad_ATX if you feel the need to explain how journo's aren't LB'er bigots.
