  1. Is Council still on the mend from the end of season injuries? Since there is just a couple new faces (Harris, Wright) the OL battle should be interesting for a little bit.
  2. Right now our confidence is shot. I think our guys are used to taking these shots, but it's a different deal taking them knowing that they are going to go in. It seems like we are shooting quickly rather than running a half court set. This falls on the coaching staff. When they scout the other team, they have to have counter moves for what the other team will do to stop us. At this point, we are scouted by everyone. Some teams can match up, some cannot. Our defense will keep us in games, but if we can't confidently make shots instead of forcing them up just because it's the first open look, then our season will end in a week.
  3. The big Junior Day is the 19th. We'll know soon after.
  4. Offense wasn't so hot today. Fortunately TTech's bullpen wasn't sharp. Great job by Allsup and Burkhalter today.
  5. UAB is no slouch. They have been competitive with us in the last bunch of years. In terms of Rhode Island, their staff fell off after the 6th inning on Game 1. A lot of free passes by their pitchers, and their stuff wasn't great. At least we didn't play down to competition. Tennessee Tech is undefeated so far this season.
  6. A couple things I picked up on Tiger Talk tonight. South Carolina is playing a little bit differently from when we played them. They are a guard-heavy lineup now instead of trying to match size. They have had a bunch of close contests on the road. A win over us can put South Carolina in the conversation for the bubble (think Florida when we just played them). It is the beginning of Spring Break, so most of the students will be out of town, so if you are in town, maybe check with the ticket office to see if you can get in on game day.
  7. The Auburn Live shows are pretty insightful on how things are trending. They are going to do a Defensive Line episode on Tuesday I believe.
  8. a couple balls were about 5 feet from going out
  9. It was one of the viral pictures from a local news station in the 2018 season I believe.
  10. Is Dean riding Penta a little more in the early going to try to keep Lowe at 100%?
  11. yeah he took the job after managing at Samford for a bunch of years.
  12. Teams have us scouted at this point. It is up to the coaches and players to counter it to have success.
  13. The Reddit post was from the 247 article that Keith posted earlier today.
  14. I believe the Illinois offer we put out was for an Offensive Lineman.
  15. Let me rephrase. I remember reading somewhere on this board that Gus had a list of who to offer and recruit and that is what the staff went off of.
  16. I think the off-field staff was considerably smaller and that the offers and whatnot had to be approved by Gus first.
  17. A lot of shots did not fall, including layups. No excuses for being outrebounded so badly. We beat UT soundly if we rebound like we normally do.
  18. The Hub is an apartment complex on Shug Jordan Pkwy, just north of Wire Rd.
  19. I'm glad CofC offensively minded Zep was unleashed tonight. I hope the one thing Kessler teaches to Cardwell is to keep his hands up on defense. Most of his fouls are when he swings down trying to block someone rather than meeting them at the top. Flanigan is still pressing too much on offense but his defense is what gets him his consistent minutes.
  20. Too many turnovers today. Lots of wild passes. I wish Bruce would get our guys back to fundamentals. Simple passes, moving with purpose, playing off of two feet and not being so handsy on defense.
  21. we scored our runs off of walks. 2 out walk, stolen base, base hit rbi. Then back to back walks to open the inning, wild pitch, sac fly to score the second run. Our offense was bad again today
  22. Flan is definitely trying to do too much. The game is in his head currently. He picked and chose his spots against A&M, and it worked out tremendously. I wonder if some of these faster paced teams get Flan a couple steps ahead of himself and causes these issues.
  23. Recruiting budget aside, how in the hell does our numerous recruiting staff not know when our cross-state rival has their Junior Day? It seems like a lack of awareness with that coupled with this whole drama with Harsin has thrown away a major chance to get a lot of highly rated local prospects.
