First of all, there are tutors that help the athletes with their studies throughout the year. Baseball only does series Thursday-Saturday or Friday-Sunday. Softball has series Friday-Sunday and one series Saturday-Monday. Depending on what time the games are at, the athletes are still able to attend class.

Pitching has to be a concern at this point. We can't rely on Penta to carry us too much without fatiguing. Our offense is still young and still inconsistent in league play. Timely hitting carried us. We were very fortunate that walks didn't cost us more runs. 7 walks total is way too many. A lot of times it created scoring chances for Vanderbilt.

The media openings for spring ball have been limited to positional drills and most of the interviews are not juicy. So even though beat writers are getting access, the information is actually pretty slim.
