  1. Hoke is reporting that all options are being seriously considered for Kessler, including a return to Auburn. However, I expect for him to declare and get some feedback from NBA teams, like Flanigan and even Jaylin.
  2. Correct. Puckett is currently out with an injury so Wooden played safety for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team during the scrimmage.
  3. This game felt like the Middle Tennessee series. Early offense that disappeared and a bullpen that bled as the game went on
  4. Looks like Mullins tonight, Bright tomorrow, and TBD on Sunday.
  5. 1. Get a shooter or two in the portal. 2. PF to pair with Jaylin. 3. Portal big that can start. 4. An offseason spent on overhauling the offense to highlight our guard skills.
  6. I wonder if that means that Bruce sees Westry as a 3 then.
  7. Was a wild game. Barnett was not good in his outing and was bailed out on a failed safety squeeze with the bases loaded and 1 out that ended up being a double play. Pierce replaced Ware during the game and was effective, scoring the winning run in the 8th. Burkhalter threw 50 pitches to close the game. Almost all of our pitchers who played gave up runs in some form or fashion, including a couple of regular relievers. We sent 16 batters to the plate in the two big scoring innings.
  8. I saw a team that relied too much on Kessler and Jabari to clear the boards so that they could run. I thought preseason we were ranked too low and halfway we definitely surpassed expectations. However, once we were scouted and some of the teams we played can run that scouting report very well, our coaching staff couldn't adjust. Defensively we were fine but offensively we just lacked consistent outside shooting. Teams could double the post or pressure the ball and we couldn't make teams pay.
  9. I feel for Flan. I tore my ACL in 2010 playing pickup ball. I still try to wear a brace when I play basketball.
  10. From an offensive standpoint I agree with you. A lot of those guys on our current roster are limited and not elite one-trick ponies. Cardwell needs an offensive game. Flan needs a full healthy offseason. Jaylin needs more minutes at the 4. Cambidge needs to find his shot. CMo needs guard skills.
  11. I still think the league was tough. The problem was every team is fatally flawed. The top teams have high ceilings and low floors (see UK.)
  12. Our inexperience cost us at the end. Worst game for our bigs all year long outside of Jaylin
  13. 5 errors tonight. That 6 run inning started with the Carlson error. We equaled them in hits and gave them many runs tonight. I fear that we lack an elite starter and have a bunch of #3's and midweek guys on the roster. Not sure if Sheehan or Mullins go tomorrow, with Bright going Saturday.
  14. That board can be overly critical at times, and is a part of the Gymnastics community as a whole.
  15. I know they are one of the 3 teams that were picked below us this year, for what it's worth.
  16. Pappoe tried to play through an injury last year. Remember he came back and wasn't the same so I'm glad they are able to get it completely fixed now.
  17. I wonder if the nagging injuries with Lowe will make her the closer for us this year, with KK and Penta handling the starting duties.
  18. MTSU was a .240 team but you wouldn't know that from the series. We have to figure out our starting situation. Bright got shelled in conference play after dominating in non-con last year. Gonzalez has a blister and Armstrong has been terrible the last couple starts. My guess is that Skipper gets the start on Thursday and we'll see about Gonzalez on Friday. If not, Armstrong will probably get one more shot at starting against Mississippi.
  19. That AL.com article posted had Schmedding as the OC. Yikes.
  20. That was actually a Final Four run, Frank Martin's only appearance in the Tournament at Carolina
  21. Jax State has one of the highest 3 pt usage % in the field. They are also at 38 percent. Their best 3pt shooter (46 percent) comes off the bench. The two starters are at 42% and 39%. All three guys have roughly 180 attempts a piece. Jabari is the only one on our team that can match that clip. On defense we actually are one of the highest ranked teams in giving up 2 pt shots, but one of the best in defending the 2 as well. We are also a pretty good transition defense in terms of shooting percentage. This game will be tough for us.
