Interested to see if he learned anything this year about his back court and what he will do about it.

I watched Mark Sears prob half dozen times in High School. He wasn't a great shooter then. He could get downhill and finish at the rim but he was no where close to being as good a shooter as he is now. He had to have worked his butt off the last few yrs to develop his shooting stroke. Kudos to him for that... Will Aiden do the same? We'll see...

Not sure. IMO coaches have a thinner line to walk. Fan on fan is one thing. Coaches on fans is different. But, I get it. He is sticking up for his player. Wasn't aware CBM received any threats. If so, that's way over the top IMO

Agreed. As a coach never tell fans to stay away. He could have handled that alot better and still stick up for his player.

CBM mistake was he retaliated in the open court where it was easily seen. There are other ways to get your shot in without getting caught

2 things can be true at the same time. We can all appreciate BP for elevating the program. We can also question why we seem to not be able to address our most glaring need for the last 5 years. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. It's not that hard to do.

I will never forget. I was on the receiving end of one of those elbows one time. We were playing Johnson High School out of Huntsville. Dude caught me right in the ribs. Took my breath. It wasn't in the wide open where everyone saw it. It was in the paint with alot of bodies around.Say all that to say this. CBM, didn't need to do what he did. I got my shot back at the dude the same way he did me, where no one noticed. CBM was a victim of his emotions the past few games. Refs were looking at him. I think it was just as much who committed the foul as the foul itself. Does JWill get kicked out if he committed the same foul? I'm not sure he does.

Maybe it will work out. Same thing was thought about Holloway. Its risky. Not good strategy to rely on 1 kid to save the day. BP 's misses on PG's since 2019 are still haunting us today. That's what alot of cats don't understand. When u miss on a position of need, it can hurt for several years not just 1.

You think a good plan us to rely on another True Freshman PG? Why not get one in the portal and see if Pettiford can beat him out? Sometimes I wonder if some u cats on here even watch the games...

I NEVER said the man should be fired. But, unlike you, I'm not happy that glaring needs haven't been met since 2019. Last time I checked this forum was a place to discuss such things. I guess we just bury our head in the sand and never question or criticize

I believe AU would have if we had guards. Alot of BB folks on here agree. Don't worry, will probably stand pat this off season and hang our hats on a True Freshman PG coming in.

. The frustration is, he hasn't addressed the glaring problem. Whether he offered guys and they didnt come or he didnt offer. Both are the fault of BP. Either way the problem hasn't been addressed. We should at minimum have 2 sweet 16s in the last 3 yrs. But we can even make it past round of 32.

Thats just one player we could have had. BP relied on Wendell, Zep, a football player and a True Freshman to run the show at PG. He has missed evaluations at PG the Last 3 years not just w Sears but with who he signed. We had 2 first round NBA picks 2 years ago and couldn't get past Miami cause they ate our guards up. What did BP do to correct it... He ran it back the next year with Wendell and Zep. It's not that hard to understand. BP can evaluate bigs and wings in the portal.. Why can't he so the same at PG?

Don't confuse effort (trying) with results. And absolutely not to answer your question. We shouldn't be relying on True Freshman to lead us at the PG position. Wouldn't u like to have Mark Sears in orange and blue right now? BP seems to be able to identify talent from the portal in Big Men (Broome), wings ( Chaney, CBM). Why can't he do that at the PG position?
