Yeah, no doubt Zep being out was a factor, but Wendell and KD playing poorly and selfishly in his absense was a much bigger factor.  Bruce has got to preach “Get the ball to Walker and Jabari way more often!!!” Jabari had an off day too, but he only took like 7 shots.   Walker’s shots/dunks are very high percentage!!!   And he can move and create plays down low.   He needs to be a centerpiece of the offense.   In the games where he has been, we’ve dominated our opponents!!!! (see bama game)

We sucked slightly less than uga today.   That should be very humbling for everyone associated with AU basketball!!!  We’ve got a lot of work to do!    There should never ever be a game when KD and Wendell shoot 2X as much as Jabari and Kessler!   I swear I don’t remember seeing KD pass the ball one freaking time!!!   We really missed Zep today!  Get better soon!   Flan just hasn’t found it yet.   He needs to find it quickly!!!   Hopefully this is a huge learning experience, and we don’t see that version of this team ever again!!!

That Mizzou game was us at our worst!   That game/effort would beat uga by at least a few possessions (5-8 points ish).   We had a decent/mediocre game last time and beat them by 23 at home.   I would expect another decent game and a 15-20 point win in Athens today.  

If Harsin survives this and manages to change the AU football culture for good, he will be on the same level as Superman, Captain America, Chuck Norris, and Wade Christopher!!!!   It would take the greatest miracle in AU sports history, which is full of miracles!

First of all, bama didn’t start this.  They couldn’t dream up a scenario this good for them.   It’s completely self inflicted.   AU football is a horrendous embarrassment.   We will not be relevant in football for at least 3-5 years.   Probably more.  
Secondly, you’re right.   The media will tie them together at some point.   Some idiots will pile on.  It will be old news in a week or so.  
Third, Bruce the master motivator, will not let his guys get distracted.   If anything, he may use it as a little extra motivation to “win for Auburn, because we need it right now”.

To call AU football a dumpster fire is a serious understatement.    I’m trying to think of a worse scenario, but nothing comes to mind just yet.   🤦‍♂️😢

Pegues is probably the one I hated to see go the most.   He’s a freakish athlete at 300lb+   Gus never knew what to do with him.  I think Harsin had him in the right place and he was showing signs of becoming that dude on the DL.   Although he may be a better fit as a 4-3 DT than a 3-4 NT or DL.   I honestly think he has the size and athleticism to make it work at either of those spots.   But, he’s from Oxford and he’ll probably be their stud on the DL.   Good for him.  Stinks for us.  
Does OM run a base 4-3?   I can’t remember and too lazy to look it up.

Unfortunately, that’s true.   A lot of fans think of these kids like they are fictional characters for their entertainment or something.   We all need to take a deep breath and think about it before we post something on a public forum that is negative or even slanderous about a college kid just playing ball.

Almost always, like 99% of the time, it is a personal decision that each player makes for himself!!!!   Very rarely ever does a player think “Oh well, this ship is sinking so I better get off board”.   I think most of these were players that didn’t seem to be a good fit for what Harsin wants to do, either in general, or specific to their position.   A few of them felt like they could get more playing time at another school.   I am not aware of any of them being bad players or having a team affecting bad attitude or anything like that.   It’s just part of a culture change.  It happens.  It is magnified by the free transfer rules now.   So, I’m not bothered by these guys leaving.   I am a little bothered that we didn’t fill some necessary holes in the roster and build some young depth in needed areas with this HS class/transfer class.
