  1. Up 10 with both teams having 6 turnovers is a great way to start. Just need to take better care of the ball and get good shots.
  2. 🔥 Shooting 75% to start the game. 🔥
  3. Yeah both the Vols and Wildcats are looking really good today. Here's hoping the Tigers do the same! So that there's a clear top 3.
  4. There's a report in the QB transfer thread that it's not true.
  5. Not sure if this is true or not, but I guess we'll know soon if it is. It was also suggested that AU had interest in him in Dec, which I must have missed. https://flywareagle.com/2023/12/11/cam-nick-marshall-auburn-football-target/ It looks like they were right last year.
  6. See below....or above now. there are some social media users suggesting he's transferring to AU.
  7. Just saw that as well. Seems like someone worth taking a flier on as Robby's replacement and someone that can push Thorne assuming he fits in with Freeze's scheme and budget. I'm surprised he's still on the board, but I know nothing about him other than what's on the recruiting sites.
  8. Truth to the rumors about Jordan McCloud? https://www.si.com/college/auburn/football/transfer-quarterback-jordan-mccloud-takes-interest-in-auburn-tigers-on-social-media#:~:text=James Madison transfer Jordan McCloud,at JMU on Wednesday afternoon.
  9. I really like that lineup, but think that this all reserve lineup needs to play together more. Not long ago it was tops in the country, but now I think it hasn't played enough to qualify for the current top 10 list not behind a paywall.
  10. That was fast! 1st Bama transfer may be on his way.
  11. https://247sports.com/college/auburn/article/antonio-kite-will-be-in-auburn-on-wednesday-225593491/
  12. If we're not going after a transfer QB, it sure would be nice to get 1 more like this guy for our OL to help Thorne or whoever wins the job have time to throw. I'm excited that we just got Percy Lewis, but I think this would be an obvious upgrade and improve depth closer to what our coaches are targeting. Hmmm...looks like he's CB'd by multiple people to Iowa already.
  13. According to the ON3 guys, it sounds like we are already in it with Kite from Anniston. https://www.on3.com/db/antonio-kite-6994/ But they recorded before Downs entered the portal.
  14. Good job on all the assumptions. You couldn't be more wrong. So you're telling me that you didn't enjoy Caddy's passion in getting the team back on track when Harsin was fired? And I heard from 247 and On3 all year that we were not taking a RB this year bc of Hunter wasn't leaving and we had Henderson lined up for next year bc he was Caddy's guy, not because Caddy couldn't recruit.
  15. Thanks for adding more context. I get that there needs to be accountability for them for their actions, but it still sucks. And the void of information can feel suspect when you're not "in the know." You all have been right about most things since I've been on this board. I guess we'll see what's next. And the Uni hiring Freeze with his past, but not try to work through this with Caddy and Zac (unless it's criminal or borderline criminal) feels unfortunate at best.
  16. I couldn't make it through 6 pages. It sounds like a bunch of people that have connections saying that they know that Caddy did something inappropriate, but he is leaving so that none of this becomes public and that there is no way to confirm. So maybe Caddy made a mistake and maybe a big mistake. And Zac is being let go because he defended Caddy or also did something wrong? And zillions of rumors are swirling on what exactly happened because the truth won't be put out "to protect their family." Even though it will eventually get out anyways, the way the world works now with SM and I'm sure it sucks for their family either way. But this way people won't know what's really true based on how this is being handled. Yet we have head coaches in both football and basketball that have made some publicly known mistakes, with Hugh's being obviously more egregious. I don't know, but just saying trust us, we know something and it's bad feels patronizing and hypocritical if you're all in on Hugh. He knows how this process works and should know the pitfalls for his top staff. Sure, he can't control them, but cmon, coaches have occasionally been held accountable for "lack of institutional control" for years. With Hugh's past, I'm hoping that he tried to limit things like this from happening. But I'm guessing we'll never know.
  17. Ok, thanks. I know they're human, but I also know you can't trust everything you read on line. Maybe I'm wrong, but this smells fishy. Is Marcus Davis next?
  18. I've been putting out some fires at work since last night, so I missed all of this. Is there a TL; DR on why the university wouldn't retain two of their biggest alum recruiters? And I don't see this happening if Freeze wanted to keep them. This doesn't make any sense unless there is something else I'm missing. Is Marcus Davis next?
  19. This would be incredible to have him on the team with Pettiford and a few of our other targets in this same class.
  20. Zac and Caddy were the best parts of this staff IMO. I loved their passion, recruiting, and alum connection. So much for "alignment." I though Freeze was smart to retain them when he arrived and am disheartened that he didn't do more to have one or both stay. I am really hoping Marcus Davis is retained, because even with the rumors, I didn't think this would actually happen, but am now expecting more former Liberty and Ole Miss staff to replace them just like what happened as Harsin's original staff fell apart. And the timing couldn't be worse with Saban retiring. Back to only getting excited about AU Basketball. 🤪
  21. Man, this sucks! I was never a Freeze guy when we were looking, but have been super impressed with his recruiting and was hoping that I was wrong. Not sure what's going on behind the scenes, but losing Cadillac and Etheridge is a huge buzz kill. At least there is AU basketball.
  22. This probably won't happen, but would we take a flyer on Diego Pavia as a Robby replacement and someone that could push Thorne? He's in the transfer portal, threw 3 TDs against us in Auburn, and outplayed Thorne in that game. If Hugh is reluctant to spend major money on a transfer, I don't agree, but I get it if he thinks Thorne can be as good as the leading QBs still in the portal and that our young QBs will be good after next year. But at a minimum he could push Thorne and at best he could win the job or be a potential stop gap if Thorne gets injured and the youngsters are not quite as ready as we hope they are. Edit: I think Robby CB's to us are from his previous time in the transfer portal. Haven't seen anything suggesting that he could be back.
