I guess nobody wants to defend this madness? I certainly can understand why.

This curriculum change seems unnecessary and politically motivated. Why can't they use Boy and or Girl? As the parent of a 6th grader that is what i would demand. An April 20 letter from Sara Jablonski, principal of the public Founders Memorial School in Essex Junction, Vt.: Dear 5th Grade Families and Caregivers, It is time for our science/health unit about the human body focused on puberty and the human reproductive systems. This unit will take place during the last few months of school. We will focus on the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty and briefly introduce the basic structure and function of human reproductive systems. Students will be participating in whole group discussions and have private reflection time. There will also be three interview opportunities coming home throughout the unit. In an effort to align our curriculum with our equity policy, teachers will be using gender inclusive language throughout this unit. With any differences, we strive to use “personfirst” language as best practice. You will see examples of this below. We will be using the following language with students: • Person who produces sperm in place of boy, male, and assigned male at birth. • Person who produces eggs in place of girl, female and assigned female at birth. We are working on editing worksheets and handouts to reflect these changes but you may see some worksheets that have not changed yet. If you are interested in seeing the materials teachers will be using, we will have a binder available in the main office for you to review. Please reach out with any questions.

First Seriously Competitive Republican Candidate Has Declared

Most other developed countries "weed out" lower performing students before they even reach high school, leaving only the top students left to be scored and be educated. No wonder, on average, they graduate more kids and perform better on standardized exams — only the best performing kids are allowed testing and a chance of graduation. Of course they will score better; when you take average scores of only high performing students, and compare them to average scores of all students, there will be a discrepancy. -

That is a reasonable approach to the history for sure. -
I agree Trump and Biden are both terrible candidates for various reasons. On the Republican side I would like to see Tim Scott run on the Democratic side of things I think it would be interesting to have Senator Sinema run.

The Cherokees held African American slaves. How do you feel about that? https://www.okhistory.org/publications/enc/entry.php?entry=SL002#:~:text=Of the Five Tribes%2C the,as English interpreters and translators. -
Given the opportunity I think I will vote for Senator Tim Scott. Listening to his message fills me with hope for the future.

Yellow Dog Democrat I am sure.

And you voted twice and will vote for him again in 2024 for a President who is clearly not up for the job, as he is losing his mental sharpness at an alarming rate and who had the below to say about President Obama, which is a closet racist statement if I have ever heard one. "Clean" come on man... "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man." Biden's description of Obama draws scrutiny - CNN.com

If she was "hated" it was not because of her color, but for statements like her statement below and for her support of the Democratic party platform. Show me where "so many" on the right called Dr. Condoleeza Rice the N word. "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

Stripping Funding from the IRS is a Tax Cut for the Wealthy.
JMWATS replied to CoffeeTiger's topic in Politically Speaking
https://waysandmeans.house.gov/even-treasury-admits-potential-for-new-irs-audits-of-middle-class/ Enforcement is by far the biggest line item in the new IRS funding. More than half of the spending, $46 billion, will go to monitoring and compliance. That includes enforcement on the middle class taxpayer. -
I want elected officials paid by my tax dollars and that represent me to provide a secure border. That is what I want. Do you want a secure border?

Those verses are not directed to the u.s. government. The u.s. government is not the church. Church and State are separated by the constitution.

Here is some good news! https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2022/12/27/us-supreme-court-upholds-controversial-title-42-immgration-policy

President Biden needs to see the border situation for himself and meet with regional and local officials so he can make informed decisions. That is a responsibility that he has.

When was the last time President Biden visited the border?
