If you haven't read the book about him you need to. He laid his guts on the field for Auburn like no other player I I know of. He had 19 concussions while playing for Auburn and in the NFL. Many of us always thought they should have given two Heismans the year Pat got it, or cut the one in half. Anyone know why he was living in Moody? A sidebar story.....I was in the hospital with a possible bleeding ulcer. I went in on a Friday afternoon for tests. We were playing Georgia the next day and if Pat had a good day he would probably win the Heisman. The doc said I needed to stay in the hospital overnight and run some tests on Saturday. I told him I couldn't because I had to go to that game. He looked at me like I was crazy and said OK but you may die if we don't do these tests and you do in fact have a bleeding ulcer. I went to the game! Started treatment when I got back.

You mean like getting out our people we left in Afghanistan?

I agree but that's not his job. It is OUR national debt and we should fix it. I don't know of a simple solution but requiring a balanced budget would be a start.

Every time I read a long thread like this I am reminded of Proverbs 12:15 "The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice."

FWIW, I have a grandson who works for General Motors in the battery area. He said some progress is being made on the life and cost of lithium batteries but there is a ways to go to make them economical. He said he wouldn't buy one now. Then there is the disposal problem. Hydrogen is a whole different ball game. I have my doubts it will ever be used in cars for several reasons. Hydrogen fuel cells have a real safety problem and a hydrogen distribution system is not in the cards for a long time. Ford has admitted they are not likely to ever recover their investment in EVs so that may end up being the case for others.
