A.U.ScholarDad 0 Posted March 15, 2011 Share Posted March 15, 2011 Unfortunately, Chief Dawson has been in the news lately with the tree poisoning and the recent home invasion. A year ago I got to hear him speak at Presidential Scholar's Day at AU for a parent presentation. He started out as a seemingly dry, quiet guy, then turned absolutely hilarious. He was one of the funniest guys I've ever heard in my life. One of the best stories he told was this: He said if we think our child could be one whom might get into trouble we should call him up and he will send a squad car to sit outside her/his dorm/apartment. We should then call up our child and say, "You'd better behave. Look out you window and see who I have keeping an eye on you." He seemed like a very down to earth guy and I feel bad that he's had to deal with some high profile cases lately. Does anyone know him personally? I hope he's holding up through all this.
