Frank Thomas has been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame, along with former Braves pitchers Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine.

Pretty neat day. Ridiculous Biggio missed the cut by two votes but happy for Thomas and the Braves.

Can't believe that Maddux wasn't unanimous. Shows that some of the writers have no idea what they are doing.

To make this a football post, it would be something to see the Big Hurt coming at ya from the TE spot.

There's number of voters who believe you should not get in on the first ballot. Also some are just refusing to vote for anyone that played in the "steroid era" regardless of whether they were thought to have used them or not.

Congrats to the Big Hurt, huge deal. I read where he is the first former SEC player to be elected to the HOF. Don't know it that's right but it makes it even bigger if it is.

Um...former Auburn TE? He played one year. Dude was a stud baseball player for the Tigers.

Frank would have been a great TE. Saw him make a great catch for a TD when he was a freshman. Soft hands but he knew were the money was to be made
