AUFightingSoldiers 685
Blake Austin scores on a flyout to right. Ball gets cut off and Greer gets caught trying to take second. Runner at 3rd, 2 outs, tella up to bat.

tigerbrotha12 2,362
Very, very pleased with this weekend. Couldn't manage a run yesterday but I thought pitching and defense was very solid all weekend. Can't wait for opening day on Wednesday, and lookin forward to an incredible season

saminbama 740
Looks like we're going to play a lot of small ball this year. Good pitching, good defense and small ball offensive execution. I don't think we end up last in our division.
mustache eagle 2,409
For context ... Where did these 3 schools finish last year? What was their prognosis for this coming year? In other words were these 2 "good" wins and a "good" loss?
SumterAubie 3,031
None of the 3 are picked to make a regional. Beyond that I don't know. It's hard to find conference reviews. I've tried several websites and haven't found any.
autigeremt 6,652
For context ... Where did these 3 schools finish last year? What was their prognosis for this coming year? In other words were these 2 "good" wins and a "good" loss? Ohio State finished 35-23 in 2013. Indiana State finished 26-25 last season, losing to Wichita State in their tournament finals. UCONN finished 35-28 and went 1-2 in the NCAA Regional in Blacksburg, VA Early in the season it's hard to say, but a 2-1 start is still a good way to get 2014 going. The loss to OSU might have been a good thing before it's all said and done.

If the pitching staff is going to routinely give up 4 or more runs per game your lineup needs some sticks that can stroke it. Old, but true baseball idiom: "Power+pitching=pennant". Yes, teams have won with small ball but it's awfully hard to do.
