Theres no Halo rule in the NCAA, only has to make contact which swann did not no halo is right, but its never been 5 yards anyway. Not sure where that comes from. There is however a rule that the kicking team can't violate an area directly in front of the returner of 1 yard (basically between the returners shoulders).
