It's almost trendy for politicians to admit they used it...back in the day.

Back to Nick's abilities, anybody saying they have a formula for figuring out QBs making NFL rosters is full of themselves. Historically speaking.

In Marshall's case, its pretty easy. He has noticeable deficiencies in most of the areas that are going to red-flag you as a QB in the NFL (accuracy, reading defenses, etc). His two best "skills" (running ability and arm strength) are among the least important in the NFL in terms of actually determining success.

He isn't an NFL QB. You can't "hide" his weaknesses in the NFL like we could in our offense at Auburn. NFL defenses would eat him alive by confusing him and forcing mistakes.

I agree with meta here. There is so much more that goes into being a pro QB and NM didn't have to do many of those things as QB for AU.

Agree. I am just glad he was our QB in 2013 and 2014.
