AU64 10,122 Posted March 19, 2016 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Great work by the AU pitchers...kept MSU runners off the base for most of the game.....and worked through the scoring drought by the AU hitters where any run by MSU would have won the game for them. Something like 11 or 12 consecutive scoreless innings. AU stranded a huge number of runners before finally getting the win. Gotta give credit to the MSU pitchers....she had more lives than any cat and got some outstanding defense to help her out. ...but the AU ladies kept at it until the winning run was scored. But you also have to hand it to Silkwood from MSU for her 13.1 inning performance holding the powerful Auburn offense to 8 hits and 2 runs. Let's get game 2 today and not make it so close.
