(WBRC) - Former Alabama basketball star John Petty was arrested Saturday night in Madison County on multiple charges after attempting to elude the police. Petty was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, and Driving with a Suspended License. He bonded out of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office early Sunday morning. Petty played for the Crimson Tide from 2017-2021 and played two seasons with the Birmingham Squadron of the NBA’s G-League.
