It's the lying, stupid

It was in response to what Tigermike had posted. Do you live near high voltage power lines or are you just naturally retarded?

How do you and Tex get together? Do you do the odd-even thing where you fly out to Texas on odd weekends and he comes to Millbrook on the even ones? I'm absolutely amazed that you aren't rabid Edwards people.

That's it for me. Goodnight, ladies.

TIS gets busted so he opts for the personal snipe and the 'homosexual' card. If we were black it would've been a trifecta!

Amazingly, you overlook the fact that we're outnumbered here by like 10:1. You guys cover for each other all the time. And, for the record, I don't think any of you are gay because of it.

You guys aren't black? Damn, by your politics, I would have sworn you were.

<note to self, the texas tulips aren't black>

The board's most hateful bigot checks in...

Yes. The man who stands up for himself and does not let minorities or special interest groups run his life has checked in. And just because I call it like I see it does not make me a bigot. I just don't like people who aren't like me. Specifically you and most libruls. Don't really care what color they are. Just how whiney and spineless they are.

So as we explore the topic of lying, your buddy Clinton set the rules. Lying is OK if its not illegal. So nothing illegal happened here. Therefore its a non-issue. But please, continue to harp about it. It too will fade away. I really enhoy your diverse approach to all things political. Now, when you texas tulips gonna have a BBQ?

Back to the scrap, or as I like to call it, the outrage du jour.

Here's a little test for you, Tex and Al, to see if you actually know what you're talking about or if you're upset just because the DNC said you should be.

Q1: U.S. Attorneys are part of which branch of the government:

a. Legislative

b. Judicial

c. Executive

Q2: The person who has the ultimate decision on hiring and firing government employees in the Executive Branch is:

a. Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid combo

b. Chief Justice John Roberts

c. The President of the United States, in this instance, George W. Bush.

Q3: By statute, Congress' only proper role with respect to U.S. Attorneys is:

a. To provide them with day to day oversight and direction

b. To confirm their permanent appointments and exercise minimal oversight (consistent with all Congressional oversight of Executive branch actions, i.e., for purposes of fulfilling Congress' ongoing legislative function)

c. To give any fired U.S. Attorneys a national forum to bitch and moan and claim that they were fired for their brave resistance to the subversion of justice and the rule of law by BushHitler/Rove + Cheney/Halliburton

Q4: Once confirmed in their positions by the Senate, U.S. Attorneys serve:

a. For life, subject to impeachment by the House and removal by the Senate for high crimes and misdemeanors

b. For the remainder of the term of the President who appointed them, including any second terms

c. At the whim of each President, who can remove them with or without "good cause" and without consulting either of the other two branches of government.

Q5: The seven U.S. Attorneys purportedly fired for improper political reasons to subvert the justice system represent what percentage of the total number of U.S. Attorney positions in the United States?

a. About 7%

b. About 14%

c. About 36%

Q6: Number of U.S. Attorneys simultaneously fired by Bill Clinton upon taking office for brazen, unarguably political motives absolutely unrelated to their merits or job performance:

a. One-third

b. Two-thirds

c. All of them

Extra credit:

Liberal democrats

a. Fully understand that there is nothing to this

b. Could care less about the truth because Bush is in office

c. Will seize any opportunity for political advantage with the full cooperation of the media regardless of whether or not it violates their "principles"

d. All of the above

Answers: C, C, B, C, A, A, D

I don't know. Did the RNC tell you to post this or did you find it on your own?

Found it on my own. Beldar has it nailed. Nothing comes out anymore except outrage from either side, and usually over the smallest most insignificant thing. How many people has Harry Reid asked to step down over the last 6 months? People have lost interest in politics because of it, and quite frankly, no one gives a crap about government anymore (except those of you who have a greater than 90% total post count in this forum). And even you aren't concerned about politics as much as you are about simply bashing the President.

The political climate in this country is quickly approaching what it was just before the Civil War. It's sickening.

Let's give New England and California to the libs. We'll call it the USSA (Union of Socialist States of America).

Those with common sense get America! America would be a hell of a lot better off.

So ya'll gonna be insurgents against the Constitutional government? I mean, it makes sense, given your leanings.

Are people like you going to fight against it? I hardly think so. It's people like you that give folks ideas though.

Now you are getting into interpretation and perspective. These are the same problems/differences that come up in this discussion.

The North claims that they saved a Union. The South claims they were already a soveriegn nation and were invaded.

The argument is chicken and the egg and does not really matter because he who wins the wars writes the history books.

I'm guessing in such a scenario you'd turn your back on the United States of America in a hearbeat.

Luckily it's not for you to decide. Hopefully you never get to find out.

Once again perspective.....

The United States was started by mainly southerners so is it a turning of the back or reinstituting what the United States was originally conceived as?
