jdub5793 0
I was flippin through the channels and saw a movie with The Rock in it( don't ask me the name) and it got me thinking. Is there a real action hero out there right now like there used to be, you know, like Arnold Shwarzamagigger used to be. So who's your favorite right now right now? Not of all time, but who is making movies now or has recently. I gotta go with Jet Li.
Tigermike 3,903
Bruce Willis as John McClane - DIE HARD PS - Don't be surprised when Liger nominates Chuck Norris.

CCTAU 3,677
I wish The Rock would get some better scripts. I still feel we haven't seen nearly his best yet. I would LOVE to see another Conan with him starring. I still enjoy Seagal's movies. They won't win any awards, but they are enjoyable. Need more westerns also. Not really action heroes so the speak. But a good western is fun to watch . Tom Selleck is always enjoyable. I wish they would do another one like the Sackett's.

GalensGhost 0
The big "action stars" of this generation aren't men. Bruce Willis is almost old enough to be MY dad. Schwaaz and Segal are rolling toward 60. The action stars of today are Jessica Biehl, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jennifer Garner, Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu. Watching girls kick butt is interesting. I was going more of an "all time" favorite, not so much current favorite. Most of the action movies today are teh sux. Its a good question....but a hard one to answer. I used to be driven toward a particular actor when I was growing up...I of course liked Stalone in Rambo or Schwarzenegger in Terminator. I used to flock to the theatres to see anything by these guys. But by todays standards there are so many actors that play an action role. Now I am more drawn to a particular movie or genre versus a particular Action hero. For instance Christian Bale was kick ass in Batman Begins and Tobey Mcguire does a great job as Spiderman. Does that make them "Action" stars? I like Christian Bale as an actor but I would not necessarily go see a movie of his just because he is in it. As far as today's action star Jason Stratham and Jet Lei would be good examples...I enjoy both of their movies. It is funny though that my favorite Jason Stratham movie is not really an action flick... Snatch. I have also recently enjoyed Daniel Craig as Bond...he is by far one of the best Bonds (I'll say it, IMO 2nd only to Sean Connery) but thats also because the movie itself was great and got away from invisible cars and super lame gadgets. How do you like that for an answer!!! Oh and Sani got to be Brianna Banks all the way...JJ looks like an alien as skinny as shes gotten..
BamaGrad03 0
Toby McGuire. Numbers don't lie. What? Number of 12 year old boys who can bench the same amount of weight as Toby? There's a lot of em.
