Good lord. Just when average voters would think about voting for her, she comes out with this and confirms everybody's worst suspicions:

Clinton: Shared Prosperity Should Replace 'On Your Own' Society

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity. [Or, "We're going to jack up your taxes, despite all evidence that lower taxes means a stronger economy for everybody]

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an "ownership society" really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor. [Or, "Work as hard as you want, but we're going to take more you based on a combination of sheer whimsy and our arbitrary notion of who is rich."]

"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none." [in other words, "We're going to punish all Americans who actually took advantage of their opportunities by jacking up their taxes."]

That means pairing growth with fairness, she said, to ensure that the middle-class succeeds in the global economy, not just corporate CEOs. [in other words, "Yeah, we know that growth of real wages for American workers has totally outstripped that of German, Italy, and France over the past 25 years. But we're just going to ignore that in favor of a confiscatory model that ensures that nobody actually gets ahead."]

"There is no greater force for economic growth than free markets. But markets work best with rules that promote our values, protect our workers and give all people a chance to succeed," she said. "Fairness doesn't just happen. It requires the right government policies." [in other words, "Trust the government to decide how much money you can make."]

Hillary "It takes a village" Clinton is the queen of socialism. No way at all this is a slip of the tongue. She really believes this crap. The scary thing is she will most likely get the democrat nod in '08. God help us all.

She's going to be your President, too.

If you really despise her, I suggest you hit the campaign trail for her opponent. And, fast.

Luckily, even the democrats are having a difficult time swallowing her garbage. With her latest approval rating sitting in the neighborhood of 30%, I think her chances at the presidency are slim at best. Still, there are enough igmoids out there that will vote for her that will make it too close for comfort. As my grandpappy used to say, "Never trust a snake until you see its head cut off."

Between Anti-War and Socialism, the moveon.org crowd will always choose Anti-war. Hillary will ultimately lose imho just for that one reason alone. Call it the new Dem litmus test.

Too much is being made about the importance of 'the first woman ' or 'the first black ' as President. I don't give a flip about the gender or skin color of a person in the White House, as long as they have the right policy for the country. Hillary isn't that person, not by a long shot.

Correction: She has a disapproval rating in the neighborhood of 30%. NY voters approve of her 65-31 according to the latest poll. She got 67% of the vote this past November and won all but 4 counties.

Slam her if you wish, but at least get the facts straight.

Is New York the only state allowed to vote in presidential polls?

According to a Gallup survey (which I used for my information), she held a favorable view from ~30% of all Americans.....not just New Yorkers.

Hillary Clinton is never going to be more popular than she is right now. The more she spouts off her socialist agenda, she helps guarantee her only path is down. The media should keep a microphone in her face from now through the primaries. She might be able to buy the democrat nomination, but she will not win the general election.

You think there is a great chasm between red state and blue state America now? Nominate her as the democrat candidate and see how wide it becomes. She'll be beaten like a pinata at a cinco de mayo celebration.
