But of course they stand for social justice and all. Case in point:

The killers the Left wanted freed

The real scandal isn’t that the US has locked up suspects at Guantanamo Bay, but that it’s let so many of them go free - free to resume their terrorism:

AT LEAST 30 former Guantanamo Bay detainees have been killed or recaptured after taking up arms against allied forces following their release.

They have been discovered mostly in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but not in Iraq, a US Defence Department spokesman told The Age yesterday…

His comments follow the death this week of Taliban commander and former detainee Abdullah Mehsud, who reportedly blew himself up rather than surrender to Pakistani forces. In December 2001, Mehsud was captured in Afghanistan and held at Guantanamo Bay until his release in March 2004. He later became the Taliban chief for South Waziristan.

How many people have now been murdered by fanatics set free from Guantanamo Bay, at the urging of so many civil libertarians and Leftist activists?

How many deaths do those civil libertarians now have on their conscience?

Have any of you read or heard of this in the MSM? Or from the Dems?

So you claiming Bush set people free just because Harry Belafonte wanted him to?

:blink::rolleyes:

The folks freed from Gitmo have been freed under the system Buscho set up, not Harry Reid.

Try them, let them talk to lawyers, or treat them as P.O.W.s under the Geneva convention. Not the same as "freeing jihadists".

The minute they adhere to the rules of warfare as outlined in the Geneva Convention, then they get due process as such. Why should they get protections afforded to warring military when they refuse to conduct themselves according to law? Don't say, "It's because we're better than them." That's a load of bollocks.

We can not win this war in the courtroom. We're f'ing up royally, and this is the biggest reason why. If we want to win this war, if we want to survive, we've got to change our mindset and get serious. Forget our infatuation with civil litigation, treat these guys like the trash they are. Let the military deal with them. As we are heading right now, the only ones that stand to benefit from opening our courts to terrorists are lawyers and the terrorists themselves.

To do otherwise is just wasting time. We've got to get this war out of the hands of lawyers and other civilian dogoodniks and let the military handle it.
