AUtigers2324 43
On Scout right now there is an article about Angelo Blackson. It says he's a DE from Delaware and came to A-Day, received an offer. http://auburn.scout.com/a.z?s=6&p=2&c=964125&ssf=1&RequestedURL=http%3a%2f%2fauburn.scout.com%2f2%2f964125.html His Rivals page says he's a 6'5'' 290 lbs DT. Good stats for a DT listed from his junior year. Auburn is the only school listed on his page. I haven't heard of this guy til now. http://rivals.yahoo.com/auburn/football/recruiting/player-Angelo-Blackson-111851 Also found this article on Rivals about him. Guest jthaub
sorry accidentally hit enter but ive heard that syracuse is at least talking to him as a basketball recruit. At that size (even if its a little generous) he has to be a heck of an athlete. Is it just me or did anyone else minds just go to a possible Sen' Derrick Marks....? texastiger09 0
In terms of defensive and offensive linemen, it looks like our staff is upgrading our size.

msg6367 1
With the new NCAA rules in place allowing only two coaches to visit a player at a time, nobody anticipated it would be Barbee and Rocker.....if this kid wants to play both. AU seems to be in the lead and he would be a great addition to have. With Blanc and Clayton graduating, it would be good to bring in Blackson and Wright. There seems to be alot more top quality DE's in the recruiting for 2011 than DT's, so I hope this guy commits to us soon.

AU lb's are beasts 2
This guy is HUGE. I saw him the friday before the A-day game while i was eating at Chik-fil-a in the student center. I saw Coach Thigpen sittting in there and i watched Travante Stallworth go say something to Thig then go sit down with blackson and his family. Then blackson and his family got up and Thig and all the people at the table got up and walked out together. I didnt know who he was at the time, because i couldnt read the name tag, but like i was sayin, This guy is a mass of rock and his mom looked like she was havin the time of her life. If id have known who it was a would have probably walked over and said War Eagle Angelo.
cmccullough 0
From reading the article the one thing that really impressed me is the fact that the coach uses him as a linebacker and as a defensive back when they do 7 on 7 competitions because of his athletism. Talk about a wow.

AuburnNTexas 7,198
When Charles Barkley played here he was of similar size. That is why they called him the Round Mound of Rebound. He slimmed down when he got to the pros.

jeiland9 0
Has anybody seen this new film on Blackson? I know the competition level is down in Maryland, but that quickness and size is going to be a handful once he learns some technique and gets some Yoxercise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bmoYh-M38Q
