  1. "Injured" and "critically injured / shot in the head" are potentially vastly different. No gunshot to the head can be taken lightly. Tragic news. Thoughts go out to his family and friends. And to lose his brother... damn. (And weird take to toss in the '2 things open after midnight, hospitals and legs' when there was a shooting at a Hookah bar. ) 🤷🏻‍♂️
  2. The Ready Player One scenes at the Overlook were a great homage to the movie.
  3. Congrats to him and his family. Sort of surreal to have been in the stands to see his dad step onto the field to spark a comeback IB win and then FF to now when his son's had a wild career at 2 universities and then gets drafted in the 1st round.
  4. And equally important, how much pizza has been consumed.
  5. Big time here. GxK was entertaining, but to be honest, Godzilla - 1 was far more my speed. I'm glad the Legendary monsterverse is doing well, but I'd prefer to see it not go all Transformery with the action. But at least TOHO has my back. (And still waiting for the Stranger Things crossover)
  6. Any updates? I'm assuming no new news is good news, but just was wondering if there were any updates. Hope she's on the mend and fully recovers.
  7. Not going through all pages , SIAP, but here are a few I think may get overlooked Can't vouch for where to find them, and some may have to be bought outright, as they're pretty good 1-2 season long gems. Freaks and Geeks Wonderfalls. John Doe Pushing Daisies Farscape
  8. In lieu of an actual GvK trailer, this -
  9. ATL's bye-week has come and gone, and Arthur Blank's words still are as confusing now as they were when he first spoke them concerning Dan Quinn's future. Or not, if you're resigned to the reality that Blank and company aren't going to make any sort of a move, because they've convinced themselves of how smart the " Upper management " for the Falcons is and they just need to do MORE of what they're doing, because … they should have won the Super Bowl ? IDK what else to think. Blank declaring right after his team went to 1-7 that they have " 2 weeks " to think about things is truly stunning. No, Arthur, you have 2 weeks until Atlanta plays another game. That's NOT the same as how long you have to figure things out. Now you have just one week, and what's changed ? Injuries were the scape goat last year. What's the excuse for getting blown out, time and time again, and in the midst of a 6 game losing streak ?
  10. Meant to post this, kept forgetting.... I thought Joker was one of the best made movies I've seen in many years. That's not to say it was one of my favorites, but rather, I still can attests to it being very well done, extremely well acted, and quite a refreshing change from the ' amusement park ' huge budget movies we've been fed now for the past 10+ years. I read this on another forum, by some poster, not a film critic. It summed up my views nicely, and I think captures the feel of the movie. If Joker were a painting, it would be a Picasso during his Cubist period. Distorted but familiar. Sad but you can’t look away; much like a car accident - we just have to see: did anyone get hurt. This is how Joker lives, on the ugly side of life. But it’s fascinating. It is so well written, not a wasted word or a wasted scene. And, above all, NO preachy dialogue
  11. Coming off an emotional stomping of the Gators ( remember the heartbreaking loss in Gainesville in '86, when we were up 17-0 but ended up losing 18-17... ) and right in the midst of Amen corner, it was just one of those games. And then Tracy Rocker, unbelievably still in the game late, for absolutely no reason at all , gets his knee injured and is done for the year. Think he'd have had some impact in that Syracuse game, but oh well.
  12. Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse is a very good flick.
