He was an extremely nice person. I talked with Mike at the Apple Store in Bham and met his wife. Top flight foks. It appears he died from Alzheimer’s.

Bruce put AU basketball on the map. Bruce has been very good for AU. No question. All of that said does not mean that he doesn’t deserve some criticism. For example, while I will not name names, but our guard play for several years has not been good. We have not had any alpha dog guards.

Good deal. With respect to the possibility of Congress coming up with an improved plan to deal with this mess, I have zero hope for such. There are some smart folks in Congress, but both sides of the aisle working together just won’t happen.

I think that golden goose is already being killed. Other than revenue sharing, the only other way that the huge NIL dollars being paid to athletes will continue to come is from the Daddy Warbucks, and that is going to dissipate without stellar results on the field or court.

I don’t believe that Bruce would publicly go on record that he would be interested in a different job. That said, if he did do that, I suspect he is trying to get iron clad assurances that Steven would be named the head coach after Bruce steps down. This head coach in waiting scenario is complete nonsense. This reminds me of Gene Bartow holding UAB hostage, so to speak, to have his son, Murry, named head coach after Gene retired. That didn’t work out well. I am extremely grateful for having Bruce as the head coach. But Steven needs to prove himself outside of just being Bruce’s son.

It’s already clear that it is an award winning series.

Watched two episodes so far. It’s very good! It is now going to a mind twisting stage. I will add that one can always count on Noomi Rapace to give a stellar performance.
