  1. Perhaps…was there any need to exacerbate that on social media prematurely? I think not. If the University truly has the goods for a “for cause” termination then do it. No buy out, no nothing. The continued twisting in the breeze bit implies a week case. Could be wrong…IDK..
  2. It’s all pretty casual if it isn’t your job or reputation…right?
  3. So the question is why is this shat blasted all over social media? An effort to prejudice opinion before actual facts are known.
  4. Pretty sad way to conduct business…fired by internet…great look.
  5. Great thoughts…paragraphs would have made easier for my aged mind , and eyes to follow…just sayn
  6. This: Absolutely no quit on this team. 100% effort…exactly what Harsin preaches. No doubt some crappy play choices on offense - Bobo; some really ineffective defensive schemes - Mason. A few less stupid plays and one less broken ankle….. Having said that, the against the up stream swim is too great for Harsin to succeed this year or next. This exhibition is toxic to recruiting. The longer this drags makes me question the hard evidence of “for cause”. I’ll suggest this. The closer the settlement is to $18 million…the less likely Harsin was at fault.
  7. Seems a fair number of players, of their own free will, chose to come back for the 2022 season. I’m thinking they felt they became better players under Harsin and were looking to improve their draft stock even more. All of them could bolt.
  8. …and apparently a list of thought out candidates awaiting a phone call.
  9. Meanwhile…Alabama swiftly hires the Kentucky OL coach to replace Doug Marrone…..
  10. Now I’m loving the Kay Ivey commercial where she proclaims, “Alabama is working….but Washington is not.” Really? Alabama is a taker state. Perhaps when this state gives more money to the Feds than it takes, this statement would be appropriate. Otherwise it’s typical bullshat…
  11. I was fortunate enough to lead a region of 300 people. Overtime, I noticed a majority of those who wished me a “blessed day” produced some unnecessary drama….
  12. Sadly, the Alabama Democratic Party has been poorly run for many years. The messaging that has gone out has been poorly constructed and not well received. Even more sad is the number of people voting against their own self interests when the vote Republican. Neither side is offering much discussion on policy and ideas that would actually move the needle in a positive direction for the state. Republicans offer fealty to Trump, and Democrats offer tepid opposition. Driving the disparity is a huge gap in cash.
  13. Who would ever have dreamed that Auburn would pay the basketball coach more than the football coach……Obviously, speculation on my part, but that’s my bet. ….and darned happy about it!
  14. Who knows? I’ll vote no because too many tired retreads…
  15. Worn out with Mo’s repetitive ad. He is obviously in Trump’s pocket, but I’d love to see some positioning other than lips firmly on Trump’s a$$. Ugh…campaign season. Both parties play to the base instincts of the least informed.
  16. AUsome! Will hopefully inject some rocket fuel into recruiting as well!
  17. https://brobible.com/sports/article/alabama-nil-law-repeal-recruiting-saban/ Never heard of this site, but perhaps there are some nuggets that will assist the curious. My take away is the Alabama law makes things more restrictive than other states. As this is unfolding new legislation is being enacted to repeal the previous bill and replace with one less restrictive. I share this only for those carping posts asking why Auburn has not done more in the NIL arena. PERHAPS the original legislation is why. Otherwise use a very helpful site called Google and enlightening the board with your findings.
  18. https://www.wbrc.com/2022/01/15/breaking-down-alabamas-new-proposed-nil-law/ May have been addressed elsewhere, but apparently the NIL legislation enacted in Alabama does not facilitate the deals seen in other states and other universities. A move afoot to address that.
  19. Excellent point. Self pay patients are always billed the highest amount of a providers fee schedule. Charges are negotiable.
  20. Football is so dominant it largely pushes basketball out of the picture until the national championship game is played. I watched a few of Auburn’ higher profile tournament games, but missed many others, because…….my focus was everything Auburn football. For further proof look at the disparity in football and basketball posts, along with the fact men’s and women’s BB is lumped together. Football is king and will always outdraw BB, but seperating the helps promote BB. With basketball at center court (pardon the pun) it opens up viewing time for the casual fan, which makes the basketball product more popular. The real win is it pushes college sports into the dead period of dreadfully long pro sport seasons and gets us closer to football season. Think about that….Auburn wins a natty on Memorial Day and football is just around the corner in August! Still liking this idea.
  21. Was running errands this morning listening to McElroy and Cubelic and Mac floated what I think is a great idea….move the start of basketball back to a day or two after the football national championship game. March madness becomes May madness and the final game is played on Memorial Day. Eliminates overlap with football and 4 to 6 weeks where all focus is on football and not basketball. He hit Samford’s coach with this notion and got immediate buyin. He pointed out there could be more two sport participation. Suggested the same for high school. Seems like a good idea…
  22. As Shug used to say…Jawja has the “whip hand”. Came into this neutral. Emotion wants the dogs to lose.
  23. The free testosterone is running wild tonight! Perhaps some Jack Daniels too. If fan opinions (right or wrong) could produce results we’d have 20 national championships. I’m gonna let this play out (No choice). Not my QB1 choice, but I believe this staff considered the variables and made their decision based on factors beyond what fans see.
  24. …walk a mile in their shoes…Cole, thanks the perspective and wisdom.
