I remember seeing a video a couple of years ago of the players going through drills and the output effort was significantly less than what I see on this video. It's obviously different approach philosophies.

You are absolutely correct and he hasn't recruited to the level that most of us expect or approve of. As to the lack of wins last season, there are causes of his and of others. For years we have gnashed our teeth and rent our clothes over the interference that the power brokers have had in the program. This is a step in the right direction there.

I think we've learned that the PTB aren't running the athletic department.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm glad that we have a coach that has the stones to stand up to the PTB. Our coach won this pissing contest! If he can beat our "good ole boys" maybe he can get our team into shape and beat the real opponents.

I admire him for having the intestinal fortitude to go through with this obligation. 20 year old me who go demoted at work in front of everybody and is now being questioned about it wouldn’t have had as much perspective as Bo Nix has in this interview. I agree that it’s less than ideal for him to speak about it but maybe he had to do it contractually. The young man has some good character and I’m proud that he’s an Auburn football player.

That’s an interesting analysis. It was difficult to see the mechanical difference between the “long wind-up” and the shorter one but it was easy to see that the ball was coming out quicker.
