  1. 50/50 makes us "competitive" with the average team on our schedule (including powder-puffs). To be "competitive" with the top teams in our league, we'd need to be 50/50 with those top teams.
  2. Did I miss the thread where we all decided Aranda was trash? If so, what was the reasoning? The current situation could be a win-win for us, as perhaps we have a better shot at Aranda if Rhule ends up at Nebraska.
  3. This is why the interim AD will do the firing. Then the new AD can come in with a clean slate.
  4. I think, in general, he may deserve an apology. On the other hand, not to be that guy, but the video shows: him throwing a 5 yard out on 3rd and 6, a bad overthrow of a wide-open receiver that is saved by an amazing diving catch, and several missed throws by Bo. He did have a few good runs, as well as a few good moments of climbing the pocket (nice to see he's still improving on that). Not sure what the big deal is.
  5. I'm trying to image a mindset where you would pass on Sanders because he's not a good 'fit' personality-wise for AU, but you would be ok with someone like Freeze. It's not possible for me.
  6. Unconnected to the content of the article, the text does not show up well in dark mode.
  7. Kingsbury might be a tough pull. Maybe if we have Golf offer him unlimited PBRs...
  8. This is my point. You don't blame management for an individual employee underperforming. You do blame them for poor performance of many employees/players over a period of time, as I said. The coaches are responsible for recruiting players, training them, and preparing them for the games. I don't blame any coach for a specific missed tackle or a specific whiff on a block. However, if a offensive lineman misses a block, the coaches ARE responsible for that player being on the field. This coaching staff has had sufficient time to identify issues on the roster and move to improve those roster deficiencies. This should have been declared an all-hands-on-deck recruiting emergency and received corresponding time and effort to remediate the problem. Instead, the issue was allowed to fester.
  9. It works like any organization. Poor performance by one employee/player is an indictment of that person. Poor performance of many employees/players over a period of time is an indictment of management.
  10. That's when his other contact is up. (j/k)
  11. You can't get everyone onboard with a new coach until the old one is gone.
  12. Then you have to start with him as the first problem, so that you can then start solving the downstream ones.
  13. I am Sooooooooo looking forward to your ongoing defense of Harsin. Please proceed.
  14. Might depend on who his position coach is next year.
  15. This is completely fair. The current staff needed to recognize this as a crisis and recruit accordingly, however. Clearly, they have not, and it's going to cost many people their jobs.
  16. Absolutely. Very close. GO BACK TO WHATEVER YOU WERE DOING AND DON'T CHECK.
  17. Maybe the coaches are trying to highlight the strengths of the team by punting as much as possible.
  18. Poor decision. Wish we would try to help our QB out with some short passes.
  19. We could at least try to have a short passing game.
