  2. I could see us getting a double digit lead early in the second half, but I think Bama’s offensive firepower makes it close at the end. We were up big on them last year with a lesser team and let it slip away. Auburn wins 85-80
  3. Are there any more high school recruits we are looking at for the 2024 class? We’ll need a small forward, a power forward, and two centers next year. Seems like a lot to fill out with portal only.
  4. It’s been a great stretch of wins here lately. I wouldn’t worry about the rankings just yet. Our schedule offers us ample opportunity to prove it to the voters. Our first two conference games are at Arkansas and home against A&M. If we win both of those there is no doubt we’ll be into the top 15, maybe even top 10.
  5. This is very exciting. If Tyler Johnson wins a starting tackle spot we could be set there for 3 or 4 years.
  6. Thanks for posting. This addresses my main question of why wouldn’t Baker-Mazara be averaging 20+pts/gm at the JUCO level if he was that efficient. His coach wanted balance and no superstar ball. Coach even said he probably should have run more stuff for CBM.
  7. Auburn listed Wiley at 6’11” and he measured 6’10” at the combine.
  8. Man, if Broome comes back and we land Lawrence then our team is looking strong for ‘23-‘24 and Bruce looks like a genius. If they both go pro and we’re left empty-handed then look out below, not sure where the floor is.
  9. So if Lawrence wants to play at AU for the ‘23-‘24 season we should know by Monday? Nice.
  10. I sure hope Holloway can shoot. We need it. Every year people claim that the next incoming recruit or transfer is a great shooter and oftentimes that’s just not true. We’ll have to wait and see when he shows up. It’s really disappointing that among our 4 smallest players none of them are shooting a decent percentage from 3. I would think the smaller you are the better shooter you better be. From 3pt: Wen - 28% (career low) KD - 27% (career low) Zep - 30% (career low) Tre - 26%
  11. Lol at calling the student entrance the Pearly Gates. I love it!
  12. Hank Bachmeier started as a true freshman for Harsin at Boise State in 2019 so it’s not unprecedented. Though I agree I’m sure that’s not the plan for Geriner.
  13. Did not realize Hall was not for sure coming back next season. With Moultry gone it would be nice to have both Hall and Leota back as experienced players while younger guys like Height and Brooks are entering the rotation more.
  14. SMU just hired Lashlee as head coach. Storyline for the TV broadcast.
  15. First I’ve heard of us recruiting Dallas Walker. DT is the most important position in this recruiting class IMO. Does this new development mean anything for the recruitment of Omari Thomas, McKinnley Jackson, or Josiah Hayes? Who is top priority out of this group?
  16. Yeah, Ryan Smith was a solid player. He was good depth and had a couple of big moments for the defense/special teams. Would be nice to see this Cordova product achieve as much or more as Smith. Welcome to the family, Kolbi!
  17. I think drops are worthwhile to keep up with. Miss St had a lot of drops that helped us out a bit in the first half.
  18. Is this ranked by season total quantity or per game avg? Just curious since we have played 3 power-5 teams and I'm sure many teams have only played 2 so far. Very positive stat either way.
