I've heard stories of where they were going after Jimbo, Dabo, and Lane. I think Jimbo has it in his contract, like Saban, if he wants to walk away he doesn't owe a buy out. I still for the life of me don't understand why this guy is such a hot commodity but I guess people smarter than myself know something that I don't. Dabo would be a fool to leave the cushy ACC, where he is a shoe in basically for the college football playoffs, for the SEC - West meat grinder. Lane would be interesting but with all the talk about Coach O's personal life bleeding over into his coaching life Lane wouldn't really be any better...

Unless the receiver in front of you gets hurt during the game and you come out and have the game of your life how else are you going to show that you deserve to play if you don't show it in practice. To me I don't play that seniority crap. I want the best player to be on the field. If that player is a freshman then so be it. If I am the upper classman you better work harder to keep your job.

College football is always about what have you done for me lately as most people have goldfish memories now a days. Most fans expect their coach to be Saban ( Geez I hated typing that ) or Dabo and have their success. Probably only a few programs left where you can have a 7-6 season and still be employed. Not sure why Washington State or Kansas are on that list unless you are referring to basketball also. They are both mid-tier to bottom feeders of their conference. To me schools with high academic standards are probably the hardest jobs to coach since you have limited players to pick from. Vanderbilt is probably the toughest with its academic bar set so high and being in the SEC. On a side note though what the heck does a Group of 5 admin know anything about big boy football programs.

I love the fact that our BB coach brings the energy and excitement to other sports. He loves this school and it shows. Anytime you have a coach with that enthusiasm and spark people will gravitate to them, especially young people. I say keep showing the love and keep doing what you are doing. Thanks for being such a great ambassador of our program!

I don't think Gus played to lose but he made a looooot of questionable calls and made some very odd decisions. One can look at the UCF vs. Navy game tonight and see it. Not Gus bashing he just made me scratch my head sometimes and throw things at the tv.

I liked Stabler but if truth be told my favorite was Larry Munson. He kept it real. If UGA was sucking he would come out and just say it.

All I'm going to say is Shivers is freaking clutch. That beautiful little bowling ball is really the unsung hero of this team. Personally not a fan of the whole scramble for your life and throwing it but I'll take it. Especially against one of our most hated rivals and in BR. I'm proud of Bo for showing true grit tonight and showing that competitive spirt. WAR EAGLE!

I'm no Joey Freshwater fan but you have to give it to him. He has turned that team around in a very short time. He has a very gifted offensive mind. I hope they take down the Tide today.

ND looks way overrated. I'm guessing this is why they don't join a conference outside all the TV money they get. Whoever gets Fickel as a HC is going to be very happy. He was my #1 pick after we let GM go.

Ark-mart looks sluggish today. Offense is no where to be found against that UGA D. UGA run game gashing Arkansas. I wish we had UGA OL. Those big uglies know how to get it done.

I was in Coast Guard boot camp at Cape May, NJ. I wish I could have watched the game instead I was doing pushups in mud and snow..

The great thing about this season in college football is the possibility that anyone can beat anyone. I know that sounds like a no brainer but what I mean is you are seeing the teams that usually have a clear path to the playoffs are not playing consistent this year. Clemson can't play offense, Oklahoma is probably on the verge of losing a couple of games this year. Ohio State has no run defense and I believe will get beat one more time this year. Notre Dame looks very beatable. That UGA win over Clemson isn't looking that great anymore. UF showed the plan on beating Bama. T A&M and UNC who everyone had high hopes are not looking great. Arkansas is having a magical season so far. BC, UK, WF, and Baylor, just to name a few, are all undefeated right now. This is a very interesting year in college football and I might actually watch the playoffs this year if there are some interesting teams involved.

Tony Franklin is just mad that someone broke his record for getting fired faster than he did at Auburn.

Hate to see anyone get fired but dang the guy didn't even last as long as Tony Franklin.

Good game so far in Norman. WVU is hanging with OU in this game. Student section must have saw our game because they were chanting for Rattler to be benched after he threw an INT.

UNC is getting rocked by GT right. Up and down the ACC as a whole looks terrible.
