  1. should have known that one! Thanks! lol
  2. I am not sure who JC is. Enlighten me my friend! WDE!
  3. In all honesty, I do not see JB going anywhere and will be back for 2019. I have mixed feelings about JB. If he comes back and out OL plays lights out, then all will be fine with old JB! I like JB and find that the players respond well to him. If we can get our OL to play like they did in the Purdue game, then things will be on the right track. Cannot base things on one game, but I like what I saw from out OL in that game. I watched the replay of the game earlier today, and paid close attention to what our OL did in that game. They looked better than they did for most of last season.
  4. It would be nice to pick up a stray OL to add to the class!
  5. looks like we will finish 12th again. A very nice class even without pickens.
  6. All in all, we did very well in the state of Georgia and this is solid class. Our RBs are some of the best out there. Getting Moore, MAR & Bell were big gets. We still have Brothers to go and maybe Henry. Will see in a few minutes.
  7. The super bowl was more of a super bore. I did not watch it, but saw the highlights on the sports show on the Asheville TV station. Drew could have won that game for us! I know, gotta let it go but it is so hard to do.
  8. I agree with this young man being a DT down the road; looks like a nice get indeed. I hope we can get off of the couch sooner than later and get some quality OL commits in this class. How many OLs are we looking to sign in this class? Thanks & WDE!
  9. can Kendall Simmons be actively involved with recruiting of OL recruits? Did not know if his position allows him to actively recruit.
  10. Glad to see Jackson moving to OT. He is a big man that I hope can come in and compete. I hope we can get Bell & Henry. With a lot of the misses we had, I was getting nervous about our future on the OL. BTW, I have not heard of Wisdom. (lol a bit on that one in that sometimes as my wife would say that I lack Wisdom!)
  11. Unless we sign the OT from Missouri, we will have to hit the grad transfer market hard and heavy. We cannot keep going the direction we have gone with the OL situation.
  12. I wonder if either of the TE signees (Deal & Fromme) could move in to a tackle slot with adding some weight. Both are 6-5 plus and have the height. I somehow doubt this, but I remember the day when DLs were raided frequently for the OL so why not a TE position?
  13. any possibility that Sammons could go to the defensive side of the ball if he is going to waste away on the OL? I know a speculation but thought I would ask since his name has been brought up.
  14. I used to be a huge fan of JB, but have lost faith in him and see that he is not what we need for this position. Will there be a change after the bowl game? Probably not. There are some good OL coaches out there it would seem that could come in and change the culture of our OL play and recruiting. Unless our OL play is dramatically improved for 2019, the end is near for Gus. Will he finally get it and be the coach he needs to be, or will his stubbornness do him in and send him on his way. The ball is literally in his court and he has 2019 to make it happen.
  15. I loved the play of Asa Martin. That young man should have been on the field throughout the season as a RB. I know it was Liberty and not the turds, but he showed me a lot of talent and tough running during his carries. He could be the future feature back for us down the road. Not sure the thinking of Gus by not playing him sooner, but few of us know the mind of Gus!
  16. I think a win tomorrow against TAMU will be what the doctor ordered for recruiting and the overall well being of the team.
  17. State is becoming a dumpster fire minus our loss to them. I see a 6-6 season or worse for them. Not sure if this has any pull for DH coming our way vs Moo State.
  18. I may have missed it, but what was our total rush yards and pass yards for the game? Also, what was OM's total pass and rush yards? I appreciate this very much. Does anyone know to what extent Boobee's injury is? I hope he will be ready in 2 weeks. It would be great to be able to beat TAMU & UGA. This could put us in a nicer bowl game. It will take a mammoth effort to do this. My gut feeling is that we will likely finish 6-6. This I would hope would be enough to make a change with Gus.
  19. Does anyone have an idea as to why Gus is not letting Asa play? He has the size and speed to be a feature back. I wonder how bad Boobee's injury is and if he will be out for the foreseeable future? Miller is a good back, but is a bit slow. However, if he can rumble off 5 or more yards a carry then give him 12 or so carries. Gus either needs to take over play calling totally or take the CEO approach and let Chip or whoever we have next year to take over and run the show. If I was an OC wanting the Auburn job, my first rule would be for me to run the offense hands off totally by Gus and make Gus take the Saban & Dabo CEO approach. Even coonass Eddie has taken the CEO approach this season and it is paying off dividends. I would not be surprised one bit if LSU upsets bammer this season. They beat up what I thought was a NC caliber team in UGA. Schwartz & Seth Williams needs to become the primary receivers and have Slayton as the 3rd receiver. Those long pass plays that Slayton seems to have trouble catching needs to be placed in the hands of Schwartz & Williams imho. They tend to catch what is thrown their way.
