  1. But it's the legitimization of false narratives the author is speaking to in part. NPR like most other news organizations failed on this front. Thankfully, this dude had the cajones to call it out. We all should applaud his stance, but those uninterested in truth simply won't due to bias and the inability to call out their team. Read this room! A 2023 Gallup survey showed that only 32 percent of Americans have some or a great deal of trust in journalism. Journalism is now focused more on political correctness and political point scoring than on traditional journalistic ethics like fairness, independence and truth-seeking. It enforces a rigid orthodoxy that promotes specific viewpoints while shutting out other voices that don’t stick to the approved narrative. In short, the news today tells its readers, viewers and listeners what to think. We see that each time we read this forum. The parrots have taken over. Just a sad reality.
  2. I presume you'd be referencing oil prices. I've got to get back in the woods. Turkeys are gobbling. To be continued.....
  3. I think DeSantis is on deck. He's done very well for Florida. MTG on the other hand needs to go. She's not alone. As other threads have pointed out, many in Congress need to go.
  4. Imagine if they had done this routinely, this story would not have been necessary. I think you misinterpreted his comment. He was fired for backing his brother. Call it unethical whatever, but the temptation is real. Family is real. I believe he is saying NewsNation demanded open-mindedness over partisan groupthink or he wouldn't have been hired.
  5. Yeah well, remember it is I telling you there are nut jobs on both sides of the aisle. Otherwise, you wouldn't know. I'm not even sure you believe it. That's an extremely sad revelation. Did you think that up on your own? I mean, I have a hard time believing that quote is in print.
  6. Why hasn't it come up in the Senate? Ask Chuck. Perhaps. Can't argue the point, but worth a shot.
  7. I honestly have no idea what "wall of bull****" you were referencing. I mean, the guy told the truth, so your response leaves one perplexed.
  8. At some point, it is hopeful that we'll come around to the idea that there are many interesting characters in Congress. This thread has certainly been entertaining.
  9. If CNN tells you it's made of gas you'll believe it. Ol Sheila works just fine too. We get it, really.
  10. Not tacit. I've stated it before. Doesn't discount that chaos could have been avoided for the American people. Bipartisanship is possible. Remember Obamacare?
  11. I never heard of the guy until I watched the piece on NewsNation tonight, but like Cuomo, I appreciate his honesty. And again, you are the one that claimed bull****, so prove it. No need to weasel now.
  12. Technically correct, but how about taking one for American citizens?
  13. Who is throwing Israel under the bus? Who blocked the Ship Act?
  14. To avoid chaos. Not complicated.
  15. You can't cite any bull****. The problem.
  16. This piece isn't about Obamacare. Try Ukraine and Israel. Hell, try the Ship Act.
  17. That's not how this works. You stated he wasn't telling the truth. Prove it.
  18. Horse hockey. NPR lied intentionally and failed to retract or update content. This isn't complicated.
  19. That's an opinion from an ideologue. Sadly. But by all means, point out the mistruth.
  20. No they haven't. You didn't even listen to the segment. BTW, neither have repubs. We should be able to call it out.
  21. You seek chaos and divisiveness. Just admit it.
  22. Perhaps you should listen and read. They lied and or misrepresented truth and didn't have the guts to admit mistakes. Pathetic.
  23. No that's you speaking like a biased lunatic. Open-mindedness be damned.
  24. Yeah no need to present truth. Damn Ben.
