  1. Wish Jones had the wingspan to be a tackle. But hopefully he can help sure up the inside of the line. @ellitor, I've seen Osborne listed as both a tackle and a guard. Are we actually going to use him as a tackle? Or will he be brought inside? I know wingspan has a lot to do with if they are used inside or outside. What's the word on Osborne? Will we be keeping him on the outside or will we move him inside?
  2. BOSS is an understatement. He was a great pickup.
  3. I completely agree. Lutz and to a lesser extent CJU were the last TEs we have actually used. Hopefully at least one of them can get some passes thrown their way
  4. Thank goodness we held on to Zion. Now bring on Owen...
  5. Hall is a huge get. That kid looks like a star in the edge.
  6. Amazing. You can tell he and his dad REALLY and I mean REALLY love Auburn. If my son was the #1 QB in the nation, there is less than 0 (ZERO) chance I let my kid come to Auburn. Guess Nix lives off the ole phrase Faction before blood. Because it sure seems like he chose school over family.
  7. That 6'2 frame of his is a nightmare for a DB. Bringing in 6'2 Sheffield, 6'1 Cam-Ron Kelly, and 6'0 Zion Puckett could give us a DB group that gives opposing OCs nightmares when you add in 6'2 Smoke Monday and 6'2 Jamien Sherwood from the last class. I LOVE having these DBs over 6'0 tall.
  8. Really surprised he didn't go to UGA to play with his brother. I never expected him to sign with us, no matter how solid he said he was
  9. He had offers from Troy, Cornell, and Southern Miss
  10. Thanks Jeff. I knew it was a DB and that his name started with an S. I was gonna be surprised if we weren't 100% on him yesterday and he winds up being our second signee of the day.
  11. Was it Simpson that we weren't sure about yesterday?
  12. To go along with what @auskip07 said, Fraizer was made to look worse because he had played in one offense his entire career, which was Gus' offense, and was thrust into a pro style offense. Spread players don't do so well in pro style sets. Likewise, pro style players don't fare so well in spread schemes. Look at Nebraska this season. That's a team recruited for a pro style offense since Osborn left. They hired a spread coach this year and had the worst season in their programs history. Very similar to Auburn recruiting for the spread since 06/07 or so and changing to a pro style in 2012. All that happened was one of the worst seasons we have ever had. In all honesty I think that would of never happened had Gus not left, or had Chizik actually used his head and hired a spread OC after Gus left. But don't worry. Bo is in a distant 3rd place.
  13. Nevermind. I just edited the link and took the iTunes part out. For anyone else who doesn't use iTunes Auburn Football All Access Thank you for posting this @JMR
  14. Is there anywhere that isn't iTunes to listen to this?
  15. The thing I thought I saw: We got one game closer to being able to drop the turd of a coach.
  16. First off, post once rather than 3 in a row. I can see 3 in a row if you are responding to people and don't want to multi quote like I always do, but nevertheless, just make one post man. 3 in a row with none being replies is just bad form. As for your post... Did you see Willis on the 2 point conversion take on the entire defense trying to run right at them when he had multiple wide open receivers? Did you see him get brought down for a safety against the mighty Alabama State defense because he made a bad read? You know the one play he is supposed to be good at?
  17. Well, it IS coming from the person who said he expects a 10-2 record and that this offense will turn out elite this season. He is good for some laughs apparently.
  18. Yeah I'm jealous of your Pop Warner success. That's it.
  19. Seriously. I couldn't believe what I just saw him say...
  20. Did you really just say "I’ve coached 70lbs, 80lbs, 90lbs, 100lbs and 110lbs football teams. Two of my teams made it to the “toys for tots” bowl. I’ve coached numerous kids who went on to make All County in high school. If I didn’t know anything about football, then I wouldn’t have the accolades that come with success as a coach now would I?" So I was right. You coached Pop Warner. And you think your coaching had anything to do with those kids becoming all county in high school? When you last coached them at 110lbs max? Mmmmmk there Skippy. And I'm interested in what these "accolades" are you speak of. There aren't any coach of the year awards for Pop Warner Jr football. But sure. Keep on wallowing in them there Pop Warner "accolades." And Auburn may put up 35 this week. They put up what 31 on Washington? Washington that is a much better team than Moo State... So that's not some hot take. There is probably no way we score that many, but we have a hell of a defense. We could score 35 if the defense scores twice. But as far as saving the post, I'll remember it. Let's talk after we play UGA and/or Bama. Auburn always beats up on the have nots. It's when we go up against teams with equal or superior talent where we struggle. And Moo State isn't on par talent wise. LSU is. How did that work? Did we beat LSU or did we give up a double digit lead to lose to them twice in a row or lose 7 of the last 10 to them? What about UGA? Do we routinely beat them? Nope we are 2-8 over the last 10. What about Bama? Do we routinely beat them? Like LSU we are 3-7 in the last 10. Auburn always beats inferior teams (save for bowl games under Gus.) When we put up 35 on UGA or Bama let's talk...
  21. Not sure if serious... But ok thanks man... It's nice when a new(Er) poster makes completely idiotic statement that really says ignore everything I've said or ever will say. Well done. You've done it. You say you've coached football? At what level? Pop Warner? Because saying this offense, under these circumstances (OL play) has ANY chance to be elite and saying you expect to finish 10-2, beat A&M, and one of Bama or UGA this season says you don't really know much about football. Our defense will keep us in every game not named Bama, but if things don't get worked out... And fast... We will be headed to the Birmingham bowl again... IF WE ARE LUCKY. @JMR great review. You aren't being negative when you tell it like it is.
