  1. So... I hate to be THAT guy... But what are the chances that Steiner committed to us just to hold a spot over Tisdol in case he doesnt get into Stanford? And he decommits once he gets accepted in Stanford? We just havent had great luck against Stanford lately. This commitment makes me nervous..
  2. Did you even read the article? You sure make some WtF comments, but this is about the worst you have ever done. Either you didnt read the article, or you have absolutely no reading comprehension. This was just a very bad take.. Even by your standards.
  3. Dont forget the 3rd back we took that season. Harold Joiner was a higher rated RB coming out of high school than Asa and Worm. HJ is now a HB and not a RB. I hope we land Tank. Yeah we have bodies in the RB room. We have bodies on the OL as well. That doesnt mean we have the talent there. Think about it.. Barrett is a DB. KMart will be a senior. JH is a HB. Asa is gone. Boobie, Worm, MAR, and DJ are the only scholarship RBs on campus who will be on the team in 2020. We can definitely use a talent like Tank.
  4. How different is that from Gus, Luper, and Taylor having to beg Chizik to let them sign Cam Newton. One would think Gus would of learned his lesson about that. But it is Gus we are talking about. If he does learn new things, it sure hasnt shown anytime recently
  5. To be fair, we dont need ANY more bodies at OG. While it seems to some we have abandoned OL recruiting in recent classes, we havent. We have missed on basically all of our top OT targets and most of the backups. OG on the other hand, is a different story. If any OG could just be lined up at OT we would be fine, but they can not. i understand you said you were hopeful for quality perimeter blocking, but what about this guy and his history makes anyone think he is going to be a good blocking WR? Auburn asks MUCH more out of their WRs as far as blocking goes. It takes some guys years to be able to get their blocking down... He wasnt coached to block at Oklahoma like he will be asked to do here. Their WRs dont block near as much as ours. They actually run legit routes. Ok so he wasnt asked to block at OU like he will be asked to do at Auburn. Youngstown State? LoL even if he was asked to block at YSU, the players he was asked to block arent in the same stratosphere as the ones he will be asked to block in the SEC. Between YouTube videos and other forums, people automatically presume he will be an exceptional blocker. And how people think that mystifies me. I know you arent saying he will be a good blocker Jeff, i just dont get it...
  6. I dont disagree with that at all. Im just saying that we are one injury away from being worse on the OL than last season...
  7. And yea! ANOTHER WR! We sure needed someone there. Its not like we have recruited better at WR then just about any position over the last few years... Oh wait... This is just an underwhelming announcement...AT BEST.
  8. Yeah as long as ABSOLUTELY NOTHING happens to Tega or Driscoll we will be fine. Let one of them go down... Then lets talk about how good we are for this year.
  9. https://www.al.com/auburnfootball/2019/02/darius-slayton-took-a-risk-leaving-auburn-because-he-wanted-to-bet-on-himseld.html
  10. And yeah... This is the guy we need at RB. He has the skill to be a star AND he has the name. This is the stud RB for this class. Let's see if Caddy has the magic off the field that he had on the field. ...go crazy Cadillac...go crazy...
  11. I hate being that guy, but could this be added to the OP please sir?
  12. Nice. Hope getting Bell helps with him. They said they would be playing together...
  13. If we were offering a 3* OL the same thing as a 5* WR, no wonder UGA got him. His last sentence literally says that he doesn't know if its different from athletes. Did you not see how many camps they did together? Of course they were in contact, lol We already have bell don't we?
  14. Most see Osborne as a OG. Osborne is yet another "tweener," not a true OT.
  15. The early signing day has pretty much taken a lot of the excitement from today. It seems the early signing day has become defacto NSD.
  16. WDE and E have said as much in other threads, but what do I know?
  17. Me too. He has all the ability in the world but it almost seems like the ends wouldn't justify the needs in his case. Again, regardless where he signs, its a very real chance he can't enroll and ends up in JUCO and we start this entire process over again.
  18. Hr has. Pickens committed around the time Shed Jackson committed. Not at the same time, but really close to the same time. And yeah, when someone has been committed going on 2 full years and stayed committed, its strange for them to go somewhere else, but it happens. And Pickens has been ALL OVER THE PLACE with his recruitment, while being committed. But in all honesty, our biggest concern are his GRADES.
  19. Na, nothing to relax about. I was just SHOCKED to see him with 34 on. I didn't know that was his high school number. It just shocked me seeing him wearing 34. If we were up for the highest rated RB recruit in the modern era I still and him wearing 34 would be a deal breaker, I wouldn't be happy about giving him 34, unless Bo approved. Bo should always have the say over anyone wearing 34. So yeah no worries. Thanks E. Yet again. Your knowledge really helps around here.
