Golf, this story I'm about to tell will make you lose any respect you might have had for me. About 10-12 years ago, just after Mickey's death, my company got hold of about 50 of the balls he autographed while in the hospital. We, in turn, offered these as incentives to our customers in a contest. We awarded about 40 of these, along with certificates of validity, and somehow, I wound up with the remaining ten. Well, not knowing what I had, I gave away all but one to my kids and friends, and during a move, I lost the one I had!! I often wonder today what they are worth now. I know he signed a lot of them while in was in the hospital, though.

Hello guys and gals!! I guess I have this forum blocked, so I have lost contact with you for awhile. Although I have been able to PM bigbird on occasion, I was not aware of James' issues until I searched y'all out this morning. I'll take that up with him later!! Yesterday, I had a significant update on my situation from my VERY conservative oncologist. He used the term "almost in remission", which considering he labeled me "terminal" nine months ago, is a miracle!! Thought I would share with my old friends, and now that I know where you are, I'' be checking in more often. God's blessings to you all, and to you Mr. Stork, I'll be taking you to the woodshed shortly!!

Pops checking in. Getting better every day. How's everyone, guys and effie?

Hey guys; just checking in with good news. Hope you don't mind me sharing. Just got pet-scan and c-scan results after my 4th chemo, and everything looks great!!! Tumor counts are way down and lesions on my liver are much smaller. Still a long journey but appears you may be stuck with me awhile.

Effie, in my position as assistant recruiting coordinator for AUFamily, I am puttting you in charge of the recruitment of the QB from Florence that we just offerred. Nothing less than a firm commitment is acceptable.

34, with my current trials and tribulations, I have talked to several cancer patients, who are veterans, and they all are very high on the VA-Vandy marriage. First, they are located as if in the same campus, so I think your cousin is on the right track. Latest, price for liver transplant; 1 million.

So sorry to hear Drac. Please know I am praying for you and your family.

To me, you're just one of the guys, but I'm sure the prettiest. I'm also smarter than Manti Teo.

Hey guys!!! Just finished a round of chemo. Doc says everything is headed in the right direction. Thanks for all your prayers. WDE!!! Pops

Just got through with 2nd round of chemo. Still a long way to go, but got some promising numbers yesterday. All in God's hands, and I'm good with that. Great doctors working with me.

Saturday Night at Auburn, circa 1965, one calls the ladies dorm (there's always someone will answer, best dorm was Helen Keller for a blind date). Ask if she wants to go out, then go to the dorm and ask her replacement to call her down. When she comes down to go sign out, check her out, then run like heell if not good.

Good morning!! I just wanted my friends to know I'm doing well and staying strong. I just finished my first chemo round of eight; not much fun for a 70 year old!! I will have my second on Tuesday. I don' feel like posting much, but I'm on everyday to watch over you guys scallawagging!!

Hey guys, how ya'll doing?

No matter how bad you think your own problems are, something like this comes along to put things in perceptive. I have a son in Boston, with kids 9,7,5,3; he couldn't leave their sight yesterday.

Caught me!! Yeah, we're ok. Yesterday took a lot out of us old folks, so catching some rest today. I was just thinking that the asylum is the one thing that hasn't changed a whole lot since the changeover. The intimacy of old AE was a key element to its success, and that is lost at AF, I guess just because of sheer size of membership. But it's great to know you guys are here during good times and bad.

Good evening, inmates. I felt a need to share a moment with you, my dear, dear friends who helped Judy and I through our loss this past February. We lost my wife's brother to heart disease and cancer this past week and just came back from his funeral. As I sat there today, listening to reflections of his kind and loving life, I could not help but think of the warmth, love, encouragement, and just pure outpouring, that you gave us during our daughter's death this past February. Doesn't it put all the hatred, vitreol, and just plane stuff in a proper place? God bless you all. With all my love, Pops.

Dirty OLD men doing work!!

Are we still talking about the Auburn football program, or is this an admission of a deeper inner emotion.?
-
I just attempted to pm you but it was deleted somehow. Do you have a filter of respondents?

Oh, tt, there is definite improvement on the horizon; the only way we can go is UP!! The perfect storm of bad fortune, combined with the most inept management and leadership I have ever seen, will require a long and painful journey back. We have dug ourselves a very, very deep hole.

Good morning inmates!! I've been lurking (and disagreeing with most of your opinions); I kid of course. I have been struggling with the same thing a4e has, chronic back pain, and haven't really felt like posting lately. Mine is long term, surgicallyonly-fixable, with all the possible side effects of paralysis, etc, so it's a matter of grin and bear it. Thank goodness my pain has taken my mind off the pain lower in my anatomy that is called Auburn football. Unfortunately, I know too much, and the situation is about as bad as your imigination will allow you to go. Tragically, it;s not immediately fixable. Anyway, sorry for the negatives, and I wish all my friends well. Thanks for providing some interesting conversation during my down time.

I'm sure bird hasn't forsaken you; he's in a very good, theraputic situation right now, and it's all good. I'm sure his old AE friends are in his daily thoughts and prayers. As effie said, he's a busy boy right now!! tt, yes, frost on the pumpkin in Kentucky this morning. Just beautiful!!
-
Morning inmates. Just to let you know we're alive and well in good ole Kennytuck!! BTW, I heard from Bigbird last week; have you guys?
