  1. This is the worst Auburn team I've seen in 25+ years of being a fan. Almost no talent. And zero direction.
  2. Hiring Deion Sanders reminds me of Memphis hiring Penny Hardaway, but a worse idea. It's something a desperate team does to stay relevant in the face of actual data. Not one that is made by a team that is supposed to be a perennial Top 25 team with the money, fan base, and conference alignment to support it.
  3. Based on how many commits we've landed, we've spent the most per commitment on average.
  4. How many games were you expecting him to win over the spring/summer?
  5. Our offense will be a meddling offense once again. Likely lower half of SEC. It all stems from the OL issues that have been an issue for years. Tank is a pretty good RB, but he's not an all world 1,500yd RB. He wouldn't get that behind even a good OL and on offense that focuses on the running game. Overall i think he's a bit overrated. He's the type of RB that would look fantastic if we could keep the defenses' hands off him before he reached the line or consistently have some space to work and build up speed. But we don't. He's not great at shedding tacklers. He and the rest of the RBs will still struggle to gain momentum. Drives will die, and we'll be forced to punt. Our WR core is pretty bad/inexperienced imo. I don't see much redeeming there at the moment. TEs are pretty good, but you can't base your offense on passing to the TEs. And QB? Who the hell knows. It will be inconsistent.
  6. Frankly at this point we're screwed one way or the other. If we fire him without clear evidence of wrong doing, it's just stupidly throwing money away. Imagine what we could do with $18M in NIL funds. And I'm not sure how we'd be able to hire a decent coach considering how fickle we are with no commitment. With no clear evidence, let's just ride this baby out and see what happens. Probably not good, but we are so far away from being "good" I don't even give a crap anymore. Just burn it to the ground and start over.
  7. What are we even talking about anymore?
  8. So he's been an NFL QB coach for like 3 yrs. Is that really the extent of his resume? Why are we getting excited about him again?
  9. I mean you're right. But let's be honest. Imagine "don't get kicked out of the SEC and not get hit by a tornado" being a goal you'd put down for next year. That's basically the bar you're setting. Those expectations are really low.
  10. One thing is for certain, an English major did not come up with that title.
  11. If Bo Nix is not a leader, then his response is fine. If he's expected to be a leader, then he needs to claim some responsibility for the result. That's the leaders responsibility. Plus, the first steps to fixing a problem is willing to admit you have a problem. Bo isn't ready to admit he has a problem with his game right now. He's playing "pretty good". I think it'll be a shock to him that his "injury" is not why Harsin is looking seriously at Finley.
  12. The first thing you read is how the defense is lined up before the snap of the ball. The fade against one of their top defenders should not have been the direction Bo should have looked.
  13. While those that have risk factors are more likely to have issues, this virus is still taking down people in number that have ZERO risk factors. So your mitigation strategy is not going to work. I personally know of a couple that are both body builders. He recently won a state level championship here in TN in the weeks prior. She is probably mid 30s and he's around 40. They are both elite athletes with zero comorbidities otherwise. They were both hospitalized. He was hospitalized for 2 weeks and nearly died.
  14. I just want to know what your solution is. Hospitals are overcrowed and people with other medical issues are not able to get proper care. So what is your solution to reducing the crisis in the hospitals. Because i only know of 3 things: Limiting spread of spit/particulate by using masks Limiting spread of spit/particulate by social distancing, closing mass gatherings, and limiting building occupancy. Vaccine which has shown that less one percent of people being hospitalized are vaccinated at this point. So if you don't like any of those 3 options, what is your solution to reduce loads over the next month?
  15. Meanwhile if some random shmuck on YouTube told you to take a horse parasite paste up the butt every 6 months because "it's proven", y'all would be lubing yourself on a frequent basis.
  16. Ok. I went and checked out his "source" (which is a personally created Google Doc btw so not a real source). The biggest issue is his data is stupid. He's using the entire US population of an age group as the denominator. Not everyone in the US has contracted COVID. It's absurd to use that as the baseline. It's like saying that only a handful of people a year die from electrocution. Therefore, you don't have to worry about grabbing two ends of a live cable because only 0.000001% die from it! Right? Real data uses the number of people who've contracted the virus as the denominator. Then put the number of people who've died over that. Whoever created that website and spreadsheet is a moron. And the people who follow random sites like that sheep of these people. By their same logic, Polio, Small Pox, and the Bubonic Plague aren't bad viruses and not even deadly because nobody died from it this past year or was even affected by it. That's how dumb their data is.
  17. Bottom line is there are very very few players on our team that would be in the two deep on UAT. Just about across the board they are better. Bo doesn't have time to throw and when he does he's still inaccurate (mainly because his footwork is non-existent. He's a "backyard chunker". He's physically gifted and likely has the right idea most of the time in this offense, but he's basically a poor-man's Johnny Manziel. Tank also has no time to run and is just a freshman and injured. We can't rely on him to beat the #1 team in the nation and our biggest rival. WRs are rarely getting separation (hello holding), but that's mainly because Bama just has better athletes. As for our defense, it's getting abused by an actual offense with real routes/plays that are schemed better. Plus, we've regressed. We're just not on the same level and even with it being a rivalry game, we can't compete with them. I don't think I've ever seen the difference between these two teams being as drastic as it is right now.
  18. Only if we replace him with someone who can recruit AND coach. Hand was an utter failure and took all of last year to get our OL back to a collegiate level of blocking.
  19. Yea, i realize we got those 2 for another year, but you obviously don't want to be starting true freshman at OT. So it'd be better to get some in this year to get the coached up some. It seems almost certain that we HAVE to go the graduate transfer/JUCO route if we don't get some quality tackles in this class. Besides Troxell, we're not going to have anyone at Tackle in 2020 (baring freshmen).
  20. I'm really concerned about our depth at OT. Do we have any 4-5 star tackles on the radar? Or are we just going to go JUCO after Wanogho and Driscoll graduate?
  21. I've always been of the opinion that you should play your full offense in these scrimmage games, so that when the big dogs come to play, you have some reps under your belt. Don't wait until you're against the ropes against a top team to pull out plays you've not run in a game-like situation. The passing game comes down to timing and precision. Don't put that pressure on athletes to nail the timing the first time when you don't give them the reps, but REALLY need them to have it finely tuned.
  22. It still amazes me that we still try the "hurry up hand-off up the middle" after a first down like 75% of the time. It seems these days it's a completely wasted play as it's been scouted to death. At least try a play action if it looks like the LBs are creeping up to snuff it out. With Stidham able to call plays, he should be able to take advantage of it.. Did we ever pull a guard and run off tackle? Is their defense just that good on the outside to do it? Seems like every time we ran it was up the middle into a mass of people. I was really disappointed in the TD we gave up before the half. Our entire team seemed to hear "prevent defense" and we went into a "ehh, we're done for the half" mode. Their lack of effort dropped of the face of the earth that series, and it gave Washington momentum going into the 2nd half. I'm glad Steele adjusted at the end of the game and decided to man up and take it to them instead of trying that "bend but don't break" nonsense.
