I’m definitely not a knowledgeable nba person. Fan of AU bball first and college ball second. NBA is distant third. I’ll admit I “want” my take to be the correct one. That being said … I’m sure analytics would prove me wrong… but there feels like there have been enough busts/below expectations performers to justify my take. Also I would assume there are a reasonable enough parallels with mlb to seem like a reasonable take. a 2 and done scenario would be a boon for college bball. Enough so in my opinion that ncaa should let kids go all the way through the draft and then come to college if they don’t like their nba placements. It might get nba to work with college a smidge. IMO might have gotten us cooper back and a better shot at a deep March run with Jabari and Kessler

I wish nba would adopt a mlb like rule. If you go to college then you aren’t eligible for the draft for 2 or 3 years. I’d be ok with 2. I think it would be good for the nba, college and the players. It’s weird to me they don’t do that unless I’m missing something. The no brainers can go pro from high school and the others get a couple years n college where they can mature. The side benefit is colleges can then develop rosters more easily with 2 and dones versus 1 and dones.

Weird … we score 92, win by dbl digits - again - and have solid shooting numbers but the game feels like we left some on the court. 29 assists on 33 attempts… are you kidding me . That’s crazy numbers.

I’ve listened to parts of the game today. Sounds like the only thing positive today is Irish throwing some guys out at second. Which means m not sure he’s done this year till today.

We’ll be better at every position on the line. We’ll start the season with our OL better than any point last year. i think Percy Lewis is our most important addition on the team. Percy will be better than wade at LT. wade better than anyone at LG. Lew will be much better and he was already good at C. Too tall will be better at RT. And the slew of guys possible at RG will be at worse a push from last year. im pumped. Nix coaching will allow Freeze to be a more effective play caller. Our RB’s will take a step forward. Our Wr group will be much better. Our TE should be at worse a push but probably better. freeze won’t worry about our D getting tired and won’t slow the O down. We are going to go for it on O and Thorne will magically look like one of the top half of the qb’s in the sec. my biggest concern is needing 2-3 solid bodies on the D front. Preferably at least one stud - unless we think we have one about to step up.

I’ll be interested to see if the guys who could come back for an extra season bypass senior day and tip their hand on what their intentions are for an addl season.

I just wrote a much poorer version of what you wrote in late January. I agree with everything you wrote. If KD returns, I’m pretty darn optimistic about next year.

If we can get Broome NIL greater than a European contract, he might stay for what could be a legit championship level team next year. My heart tells me cardwell stays. If that plays out then our 5 should be even better next year. Jachki Howard replaces Moore? So our 3 proves. Our 1 and 2 guards should be better next year with more experience and adding Pettiford ? We get a PF in the portal to pair with an improved Chaney. This is our unknown position imho. if these things happen then our team actually becomes longer and more athletic. The 4 is our primary unknown with an improved Chaney as our floor.

Btw … how many highlight reel dunks have we missed this year. I’ve never seen a season with this many allllmmmmost highlight dunks.
