  1. Haha, there you go. They would be making pancakes for sure.
  2. Just think if we could add Ruiz and maybe steal Netori Johnson back from Georgia. I know, slim chance on Johnson, but what a true Freshman OL that would be.
  3. They just showed Gus's times on the SECN screen. @ podium- 12:55 PM ET @ SECN table- 2:55 PM ET
  4. AU's is the best of course. I thought UGa's was decent, Tennessee's was good and I liked the simplicity of TAMU's throwback guide. The winner of the 'worst guide' award has to go to Mizzou, good grief. As a general rule I don't like coaches on the media guide. But of the 3 with a coach on it, Gus's is the most understated, small and not looking at the camera, so that's good. Muschamp's just reeks of look at me and Kirby's is somewhere in between but trending to the Muschamp category.
  5. Just a fyi: With reference to the OP, instead of a "Rivals 3*", Nick Brahms is a Rivals 4*. https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/12720
  6. Younger brother of Daniel Carlson Will add to the OP later tonight. That's cool and all, but you have him named "Carson" in the thread title. I was headed out the door when I fot the text. I rushed the profile. Lol I see you fixed it already, that was quick. Way to go my good man.

  8. Well, it means less than a verbal commit, and a verbal commit is far from binding, so I'm inclined to agree with you from up here in the cheap seats. A silent is a verbal...to the coaches. It virtually means no more or less than doing it publicly IMO. Yeah, I know what a silent is. I should've said "public" instead of "verbal", even though I used the same descriptors that are standard in recruiting media to differentiate the two. Anyway, if there's no difference, then why do the two separate forms of committing exist? I would think that a public commitment adds a ton of pressure from... the public. Look at how kids get trashed on here when they publicly switch commitments. This site is just this site- I already know that also- but if it's happening here, it's also happening a lot closer to home for these kids, and probably more intensely. As a result- among other reasons that separate a public commitment from a silent one- I have to guess that sometimes it's the kids who tell coaches, "I'm going to play for you, but I'm not ready to go public with it yet." The only pressure that matters IMO is family, high school coaches, potential money handlers, & organization like the REC. A commitment does not have to be public for those pieces to have influence. But, who's on first ? point taken. No point, it was joke.

  10. He is expected in June 27th for the last half of Summer term. Gatewood skipped two years and is arriving this June 27th? Oh happy day!!!! Pretty sure Ironman was talking about Woody B. since there's no reason to talk about Joey's grad day 2 years out. I was on the same wave with Ironman but should have clarified in my OP I and I thought he, was referring to Woody even though it was the wrong thread. Yeah, posted it in the wrong thread. I deleted it soon after but you must have responded as I was deleting it. We're on the same wave length. Well at least we got Woody B. straight, lol. I'm not going to miss a chance to kick 'em when they're down! I hear ya, lol.

  12. <p> Guys in the South we went against them a lot, and lost all but Tre & Holland. I think a factor people are missing here too is we have had a revolving door at LB coach or DC that coach LBs since Boom left the 1st time. If you don't have sustainability already in place that can hamper you big time @ recruiting a position which it has for AU. I was about to make a similar post, you nailed the root cause of this imo. Even though the LB is the QB of the defense there has been no continuity at the LB coach or the DC position. LB recruiting/developing has almost become an after thought with DCs assigning themselves the LB coach role as a sideline. The LB recruits have seen new DCs, changing defensive schemes and new LB coaches year after year at Auburn. With T-Will this year we have a dedicated LB coach, which is encouraging, so maybe this will start a new trend.
  13. I have the same problem but as you can see, I figured out a way to do it through trial and error. 1. Go to the posting window at the bottom of the page, click the toggle editing mode button (upper left hand corner) so you are in the mode where the edit buttons are disabled. 2. THEN go to the post you want to quote and it will put the quote in the window. You can add your comments and post directly to the thread from there. ....OR....(if you need to use the edit buttons on your comments) 3. THEN, click the toggle button again and it puts you back in the window with the edit functions activated and you can proceed from there. But don't ask me why this works, it just does, lol.
  14. A guy that has those kind of assets you would think there is some place on the team he could play. It's funny you mention WR because I had the same thought even before this all came up. I wonder if he has the hands for it because he sure has the size and speed.
