  1. My Sunday PM radio guy reminded me of this old goodie, but is it really blues?
  2. If I've said it once, I've said it at least a second time, they can flat fill a space with just three (and, of course, a few amps)
  3. Ain't no thing. Just curious. I did note (in your video above) a reference to Buster Keaton, as well as several clips of Mr. Depps' (fairly competently) emulation of some of the classic Hat Tricks.
  4. Acknowledged and understood. In interest of full disclosure, a major reason I wanted a copy of any Van Halen album was to keep the "kids" entertained at weekend poker games in the barracks. My clearest memories are of heavily-played radio songs (Runnin' with the Devil?) and that Mr. Van Halen was married to a cutie from a TV sit-com?
  5. Speaking of loving hippie girls, Did you hear any of the stories (rumors?, scuttlebutt?, slander?) re: Donovan? to the effect that he rode his innocent flower-child persona and distribution of, um, vitamins other than Q, in a sort'a Cosby-like pattern? I admit I've never seen/heard proof, but I let the hints color my views, especially on this song:
  6. and the Tedeschi side is all kind'a OK!
  7. Never saw the movie. Did Mr. Depps' character give proper credit to Mr. Chaplin for the "Table Dance" routine?
  8. Yes! but, ultimately, destructive (at, like, Stevie Nicks level)? A "vacation buddy" (son of one of my dad's old Marine buddies, our extended families had many decades of a kind'a home-and-home visitation series) was a roadie with them for years. One visit, I asked why I hadn't heard anything new from them for a bit. Apparently Mr. Clayton-Thomas had broken away to try solo. Neither fragment of the group was doing well, and Mr. Clayton-Thomas came back and asked to rejoin. The rump band agreed to take him back on contract but damage to chemistry was done.
  9. Liked what they had been playing on the radio, but Only album I ever "owned" (and even it was a cassette tape, looong since disintegrated) was copied from a young barracks-mate. Won't even try to guess your "maybe three" exceptions, but the core of my want for the album was this string of 3 (sorry about that, Chief) covers.
  10. Slow weekend? Always liked a bunch of his stuff. Many thanks, and I'll wade through the rest when I can.
  11. When 1st explained to me (in this very thread), it was characterized as Devil Horns. I think I posted this (below), as a potential candidate, with a nearly audible thud. You (Mr. 67) picked it up quicker than I, but I'm still learning.
  12. The old Peter, Paul and Mary cover was (of course) 1st and foremost in my mind posting above but, upon further consideration, this one bubbled up in my memory as well. (thought even she won't clearly show me that guitar chord that's always eluded me)
  13. My geography lesson for the day. Thanks, and I'll not inquire further
  14. Excellent song that, like much of his work, has been excellently covered by others (no idea who decided to hook this video to it).
  15. Once they've had puppy (something about the breath?), they never really, quite fully, come back.
