I’m waiting to see how the QB tree shakes after spring ball, there will be some movement when guys get the feel they will not be playing. Right now coaches are selling a lot of kids on “you gonna get your shot” well when they go the other way I anticipate some talented guys hitting the portal. Be patient.

Individually maybe less talented because Tank was a great talent, and has not been replaced. But as a collective whole the RB room will be better. We can also anticipate better coaching, line play, and general idea of knowing wth to do. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think Freeze will remedy this. Good times ahead. If you are bored take a review of the top QB’s from 2019-2022, based on 24/7. Cj Stroud, Bryce Young and Caleb Williams stand out the most. Several have transferred via portal, including 3 from 2019 to include Nix, Jayden Daniels, and Rattler. A few have not played significant time like Vandergriff and Howard. IMO evaluation and development are key. Two areas I think Freeze is really solid at. So hopefully it gets better sooner than later.

Bingo. Often new workouts appear more challenging because well they are new, and your body is adjusting. As far as talent, Auburn got more meat on the OL and DL, which is vital in this league. Also LB’s are bigger, I agree there is a gap at Edge, but hopefully someone on the roster sees an opportunity and can step up. There is some marginal talent on the roster but also some underused talent like receiver Camden Brown, RB Alston, and a few others. I did not expect Freeze to close the talent gap in 6 months, but he has put Auburn in a position to be competitive, he just has to find his guy at QB and I see Auburn having a respectable season 1 under Coach Freeze.

It’s not PTSD for me, it’s the “are we getting played” and distracted by investing T&E in the wrong kids. Some here have said recruits were being used as pawns by the REC, Saban, Kirby, boogeyman, etc. just to string AU along, with no intention of ever playing here. However after reading AE girl’s post on Williams being a legacy, and add we got two years to work him I am more optimistic that his interest is genuine, and Auburn truly has a chance. I do see this Auburn staff being in better position to compete and win some of these battles more-so than in the past. So maybe brighter days are ahead.

Trust me I want to be optimistic but Auburn has been burned in the past too many times in these situations….

By we should all know better…how many recruiting cycles have certain Bama commits done this…

Absolute no one here has factually seen his transcripts, and initially some said it was his major and courses not crossing over, now he is a dumb ass? He may have threw his name in the portal not knowing some of the requirements for the “student” part. He can apparently still play football there so it’s not an eligibility issue. All for nothing because I do not see him suiting up for Auburn this fall 🤷🏽‍♂️

It seems as if Deion failing at Colorado will validate something for a few posters here. Not sure why because he was never going to be the coach here. I hope he does well, and remember recruiting is often about established relationships so I anticipate his recruiting there to get a lot better as he builds relationships with younger prospects. I see the same happening with Freeze as well. Both coaches are very good recruiters, and salesman. I hope Freeze gets Auburn back in the Championship convo and I hope Deion can do the same at Colorado.

Did Bo Nix take some lunch money from some of y’all (sarcasm) Although not elite he was the best HS QB I have seen Auburn sign in forever. A lot of his struggles should and could be attributed to coaching, I mean he had Gus and Harsin, two coaches who ain’t really known for QB development. Could he have been better no doubt he could have been but so could have every other player under Gus/Harsin. He had some highs and lows here, and seems to be doing better up at Oregon. I curious to see how he progresses during his last season. Had good but not great Auburn tenure, wish he could have came here under different circumstances.

I like the cloud of secrecy….because some have said Auburn has lost recruits because it was leaked they were visiting or visited.

When Penn St came in and curb stomped Auburn at home I knew it was a wrap.

Did he even play last year? So we expect him to come in and start in the SEC West?

I was speaking in terms of his offensive system giving Kirby and his defense some problems like he did in prior matchups…..not recruiting.

Yeah but that was with Harsin…like many of us here Freeze and his OC has probably seen all they need of Finley. I see a transfer QB, Robby and HG…with Hank Brown in training.

Never know…maybe someone on the roster will step up and show us something…there will be several players to hit the portal after spring ball finishes..

This is a shame…bring in all that talent to play such a soft azz OOC is ridiculous.

He got the job he really wanted…doing a great job. UGA has always been a sleeping giant, and his main division competitors are rebuilding in UF and UT…they gonna be relevant for a very long time…but for some reason I feel Freeze will have his number..just a feeling.
