  1. Eh, sometimes I have a few drinks and talking to the Brick Wall that is the Bo Nix Fan Club doesn't irritate me
  2. Lol, moving the goal post of the argument? The thesis of my argument is Bo is getting preferential treatment. Whether he is the cause of it or the coaching staff is facilitating it is irrelevant. It seems here, on your side of the argument, there are just as many people who think NOTHING is Bo's fault. And, hate to spoil the "great kid" narrative, but there are just as many anecdotal stories that he acts as entitled as he is perceived.
  3. No it doesn't. You just don't like hearing it so YOU tune it out. Auburn has plenty of problems outside the QB position. But that doesn't negate that the QB position is one of the plenty of problems. The two are not mutually exclusive.
  4. Why? I don't think many people actually think those two are better QBs than Bo Nix. The fact that Bo Nix is the best we have because we cleared out our QB pipeline (both on current roster and on the recruiting trail) so daddy's Legacy boy wouldn't feel any pressure to actually perform at a high level with a half-decent option behind him is what frustrates many.
  5. Had the Clemson recipe for large success....natty in 2010, another appearance in 2013... Now, we are lapped by UGA and UAT in talent, Florida with Mullen has overtaken us this year and will lap us in the coming years, Jimbo has TAMU to a top-10 program, Kiffin and Leach in Mississippi...Second tier trending toward basement?
  6. Can we see Grant Loy come in here and hand the ball off for 12 plays in 13 minutes?
  7. Defense sucks, but that's their first time giving up over 30 points this season in a conference of high-powered offenses. Yes, they're bad and have been bad this year, but I'll give Steele one mulligan since AU administration has given Gus 5.
  8. *cue mention of the Seth wide open dropped TD that will now be his argument for why Bo gets a bad reputation for "no reason" for the next two seasons.*
  9. True. I still want Mac Jones over your boy. 7 days a week. Twice on Saturdays.
  10. On his best days, Bo Nix is a more durable Sean White 2.0. On his worst days, Bo Nix is a more durable Sean White 0.01. Definitely not the caliber QB he was billed, poor coaching and development aside.
  11. Bo is good, Bo is bad. Seth is good, Seth is bad. Regardless, AUBURN is a second-tier SEC team.
  12. Rivera signed a professional contract yesterday I believe. Got paid 800k. He gone.
  13. Thanks, guys. Hope he's a good one. I miss the TE in an AU offense. Also, hope he stays at TE, as I feel over the years Gus has recruited several "hybrid" position guys and just tries to put their athleticism in a spot of need on the depth chart instead of putting them at their natural positions. Regardless, it's always good to add a highly touted guy to the commitment list. Welcome, TFromm and WDE
  14. I'm just above ignorant on the football recruiting front so don't take this question as snarky, but...Is there anything from the past few seasons that should get us excited about landing star tight end recruits anymore? I remember everyone was excited about Sal and the offense didn't tailor at him to all last year imo.
  15. Agreed, but I much prefer the 2017 version cursing Ws that never get within two possessions of actually losing than cursing the 2006-2016 Ls that never got within two possessions of winning. Young team, lots of bonehead moves to come I'm sure, but boy doesn't 9-1 feel fun?
  16. When our only complaints are playing a stinker of a half and only beating a 13 RPI team by 6 on a neutral court, it's a new era of AU basketball. WDE
  17. Okeke...Heron...Brown...It'd be silly to say we're not missing Wiley and Purifoy, but it's evident to see the depth Pearl is beginning to build in this program
  18. Congrats to Karlos Dansby for finally picking up his elusive 20th pick today against the 49ers to become only the 5th LB in history with 20 Ints/40 sacks. The other 4 (counting Ray Lewis and Urlacher who will be when eligible) are HOFers. Dansby doesn't get the accolades he probably deserves because of the teams he's on, but he's been very open about wanting 20/40 because in his mind it enshrines him in the HOF. I hope it does. Congrats Karlos and WDE!!
  19. In postgame, Butch said Davis is starting Thursday. My guess is Klobo. Don't think they'll waste Cole for the rest of the week by letting him start tomorrow.
  20. As a longtime Padres fan (I was a huge Trevor Hoffman fan during my little league years and wanted to be the different kid pulling for a different team in Braves country), I'm as happy and excited for a season as I've been for a long time. Quentin and Upton Jr were obviously just human currency in this deal, but maybe Cam Maybin can achieve at least a fraction of what he was touted as a Detroit/San Diego prospect. Wisler is really the gem of this deal and, bad ERA aside from his first stint in AAA last year, is the Padre I'm going to miss most from our GMs maniacal dealings this offseason.
