Any guesses as to when 2024 schedule will be released ?
Dom1ni0n replied to KnightTiger's topic in AU Football Forum
This was the start of the SECCG era and I think the sentiment to some degree was both schools agreed it would be best to get the IB out of the way before the holiday..... AND if either is fortunate to have won the West they had a built in bye week to prepare for the SECCG. if I recall a small contingent of SEC schools called out both AU and Bama (ironically not shortly after AU's 2004 run) for setting up that built-in advantage. So they moved it back. -

I imagine we won't know for certain until the offseason so ESECPN can make another ratings grab like they did this year. -
Particularly in the secondary on some plays that went for first downs or big gains.

Post Cal Game Reset. Don’t Panic.

Defense took some steps forward, offense took plenty of steps backwards. Were designed runs for Thorne apart of the early script on offense? We had what felt like several of those in succession on a couple drives. Those can be scrapped. Media highlights about how turnovers killed Cal, but they were almost equally as costly for AU. Not as disciplined as last week when it comes to penalty yardage. Plenty to work on this week. -

I think the Pac12 is largely responsible for negotiating that horrible time slot for its teams' home games. -
Milroe hasn't been great when he's had some time, but Bama's pass protection has been average at best.
-
Wow. Ewers carving up Bama's secondary.
-
That was Milroe's best drive passing the ball this evening. Their WRs are finally getting open.
-
Bama not getting much pressure with their front on defense. They've struggled getting off blocks on those screens and also look sloppy tackling at times as well. Their O-line looks suspect and getting beaten up front by the UTx D-line. It also doesn't help that Bama WR are getting little separation on pass plays.

Sanders is going to continue to hurt NU more so where they've been hurting the past decade plus, and that's recruiting the state of Texas
-
Those three were huge difference makers in Clemson's run. They will probably continue to win 9 games or better, but being a consistent playoff fixture? Looks like those days are done. Clemson's offense is a mess and Kade Klubnik is not in the same tier as Boyd, Lawrence and Watson.
-
I'm guessing Under Armor was incentivizing UA sponsored teams from different conferences to schedule games against each other.....
-
I hope the O-line depth continues to improve. Sitting on nearly a 3 deep with 13! It's been a while...

This is who our D has to prepare for this week

Dear football gods. We ask thee for a Freeze Advisory of 400 yards rushing along with 5 rushing TDs in a runaway 2nd half blowout of our future ACC opponent. -
This is exactly who I had in mind for some short yardage situations.

ESPN's data mojo machine is confusing as all get out. Their so-called analytics predictor gives Cal the edge at 54%. I know that's probably the homefield advantage factor, but if they don't believe AU wins then why waste a ranking on them.
-
We'll probably give up yards to them (I doubt 600), but still take home the midnight W.
-
Disagree with Uncle Phil's take on why play at Cal.
-
In the 2nd half, absotively.
-
Maybe it's just me, but Brian Kelly looks lost on the sidelines tonight.

LSU was given the benefit of the doubt because they're always loaded with talent. Nothing about LSU '22 said, hey that's a preseason top 5 team for '23.

42-31 Texas State

Punting it back to Baylor. just under 3 minutes left

Baylor was just threatening to bring this game within 5....and a tip drill INT for TxState.
