Isn't Parks rated much higher than Bryant? What does that Mean for Auburn if Parks doesn't sign with Bama? Are we next on the list? I am guessing no since his name hasn't come up recently.

I generally like Gus but one of his biggest criticisms was that he didn't have a backup plan after SW went down and he should have prepared better for that possibility. Welp, there you go. That was his missed opportunity which is totally on his shoulders. He could have averted a disaster by signing Webb, IMO.

I really would love to know Gus' s motivations for not pursuing Webb harder. Seemed like a no brainer even when when he was being recruited. If you remember back to that time, this board and auburn fans in general had much less confidence in White than we do now post 2016 season.

Probably, but he has visited Auburn a lot of times and is officially visiting Jan 20 so you never know.

This kid has really impressive highlights. He is fast, shifty, runs the read option well and appears to have a decent arm. I like the offer. Lots of potential with him.

If Stidham commits to any school other than Auburn I might go AWOL for a few weeks from this site. I probably won't be able to count the number of "Fire Gus" threads that will get started as a result of it.

I think the message to SW is that he is a really good QB but given his injury concerns and lack of QB depth this is the best possible move for the program. Gus should then tell him he has a chance to be the best backup in the country. Maybe he will make the all SEC backup team. I am as big of a SW fan as anyone on this board but JS might be Cam level elite and a potential first round pick if Gus doesn't Frick it up.

The news on JS just keeps getting better and better.
