  1. I agree but it's obvious Woodson is bring up Thorpe awards to these guys.
  2. Looks like Goober got him another! He and Woodson are a great combo.
  3. Truth. You can't respect anyone who constantly refers to the coach as doublebubble. Nothing more than childish/immature - or just very unintelligent.
  4. Usually like Stats posts a lot, but this one just seems like throwing out a bunch of numbers that mean nothing. Jmo. Almost like saying if we score more points we will win. Call me a Debbie Downer I guess.
  5. Dont even know what to say to this other than smh. Talk about bending over backwards to try to make something negative out of a positive with really no basis at all other than conjecture. Do you think Coach Steele doesnt know this? Do you think how we approached Ga Southern defensively has anything to do with how we'll approach Clemson? Never mind your remark about not playing assignments, when we played great assignment D all night long.
  6. I'm hoping this is the season we dont have one of our main targets drop routine catches repeatedly. Tired of seeing that and ready for us to move beyond it. I think we have the depth this year to keep a good hands team on the field the majority of the time & sit someone if they drop easy catches. One long catch once every blue moon doesnt atone for 3 dropped 8 yd,1st down catches on 3rd down imo.
  7. My first game was the 74 Chattanooga game. Fuller was definitely my first favorite AU player as a kid.
  8. I loved Roderick Hood at PR. He just exploded up field the second he caught the ball. Mike Fuller was also a good one back in the 70s.
  9. I believe it was Urban who started this call the time-out at the last second crap.
  10. Punters Lewis Colbert & Brian Shulman? come to mind...i just remember Boom it. Boom it. Boom it, Bryan, Boom It!
  11. I originally put Fullwood in my top 4 on here but the Fullwood love in this thread is very overstated. He was an exciting back but some seem to be rating him on "what he could have done" rather than what he actually did. The more I think about it, dont think I would put him in my top 4. His overall career doesnt merit it. Not to mention he was a big draft bust as the #4 pick, I think it was. If he was as great as whats being stated in this thread he could and would have been productive elsewhere. I will leave Cribbs & Brooks just below Bo in no particular order. Fullwood is more about what could have been, but still had a good career at AU.
  12. Hard to say. A level below Bo for me would be Brooks, Cribbs, and Fullwood but wouldn't put one ahead or below the other. Little Train isnt on this list, but he was as versatile as they come and productive too. His NFL career proved that.
  13. Yep their OL holds every other play and its never called. Very questionable calls are always called against their opponents. They should win it all every year with the help they get from the NFL. Im not a fan of either team playing, but every year it seems to me the NFL has a very obvious agenda when it comes to the playoffs. Always a team or two that they try their best to help along. NE of course is always one.
  14. No one said to expect a WOW HIRE. Where did you read that? I never said this was an excellent hire either. Where did you read that? Two examples of creating falsehoods right there in your post. I said nothing about what I though about the hire. I just said dips like you whine about everything as if you know anything about the situation - when you know nothing about it. Nothing.
  15. You are not towing the "woe is me" company line. You can't be an AU fan. I mean every naysayer on here knows we will win 7 at best. An hour ago we couldn't predict who the new OC would be, but now we all know how next season will be a fail. That my friend, is a true Auburn fan,
  16. His latest tweets cant be in reference to ATM. Sumlin wont ever sniff the SEC Championship. His teams are perennial chokers and it wont change.
  17. NIce stats to give insight to Vandy. You can't just look at the raw yardage stats for them because their schedule hasnt consisted of what you would call strong offensive teams.
  18. Good call in the red zone. Execute it properly and there is nothing the D can do but watch a TD.
  19. Offensively, I knew this was the case, but to see it written down in black & white just makes me smh and say wth? We've always heard about Gus and "stubborn", but at some point it's not stubbornness anymore, it's just outright stupidity. He's wanting to succeed by using a recipe for failure. Try it once and it doesn't work, fine. Try it twice and it doesn't work, you're stupid for not learning it the first time. Try it 3, 4, 5, 6 times, you're a downright fool. I've always been a Gus supporter, but after last season and this season, I think he has crossed over into the fool category. He has no answers because he's going to continue to use the same old things that never work. Since protesting is the "in thing" maybe we as fans should all hold hands outside the Athletic Dept and chant "Play Action on First Down! Play Action on First Down!". Desperate times call for desperate measures.
  20. That dude was 2 yards offsides. How do you not see that??
  21. Then he needs to go take it out on Gus and not cost us a penalty lol
  22. Too much of a gamble by the D coaches there on 3rd and long. No reason to do that. Good execution by Clemson though.
