Based on what Jay Tate was saying during the drain I don’t think Monty is going anywhere. Auburn has spent too much money firing coaches the past couple years.

I believe Crime Dogg would have stayed at Auburn but Texas A&M is a good job. Lots of $$$ floating around down there.

Everybody excited about these freshmen wideouts. It’s great Auburn got them but I would still assume a huge learning curve in year 1 to delay their impact. Not to mention they’ll be playing against grown men instead of a 5’5” guy from Wedowee that runs a 5.2 40. I bet we lose 1 or 2 of them to the portal at years end.

Auburn beat Cal in spite of their best efforts to give Cal the win. I hope people don’t automatically assume a win next year because it’s at Jordan Hare.

How will year 2 look under Freeze? I think Hugh will need to get to 8 wins to keep the fan base satisfied. Auburn will probably need to upset Mizzou, Kentucky, UGA, or Bama on the road to make that happen. Home games against TaMu and Oklahoma will be tough. Another top 10 recruiting class is in the works. Unfortunately it’ll be 2-3 years before Auburn reps the benefits of these classes. Even if Auburn pulls another good portal class I think best case is 9 wins. Auburn will still lack quality depth, as we saw yesterday, that is needed to compete at the top level of college football.

I guess the Charles Kelly news was too good to be true on its own. Good thing Kelly is a top recruiter.

They really have started to gel a lot faster than I thought. It’s wild that this lineup is so deep.

Thank goodness for the Miss State, Vandy, Arkansas run because every other game this season was a disappointment. Even the Cal win felt like a loss.

Sure is nice to have basketball to wash the nasty taste out of our mouths. I’m looking forward to seeing this team in SEC play.

I don’t think Sam Jackson will play QB. They brought him in at WR. I could see him throw in a gimmick play or something like that. Henry, Thorne, Holden, Walker will be the QB rotation (in no particular order)

Hank was playing against Maryland’s 2 & 3s. That being said Hank looked the sharpest of the 3 QBs. He’ll be the most popular player going into next year.

Bowls are obviously making money or you wouldn’t see soo many. As far as the opting in or out of a bowl I believe this is more a sign of the times compared to the significance of the bowl. The bowls in the 70s, 80s, and 90s didn’t hold anymore significance than they do now. Opting out wasn’t a thing players did back then but now they’re been advised by their money men.
