Auburn fired Gus too soon. Did he need to go? Definitely. Could it have waited another season? Definitely. Payout would have been lower. No hot tub tomfoolery. You wouldn’t have had 2 years of Harsin’s malpractice. Still could have gotten Hugh or whoever.

Athens has a lot of great food. Maybe Auburn will rival them with the culinary school. Rhett Lashlee should probably get a look at Miss State or Arkansas. Also SMU’s unis are always sharp

My season tickets used to be half up in 15. The scoreboard looked like a pixelated mess from my seats too. Either they were too dumb to realize that or they didn’t care. Either way It was probably the final straw that made me decide not to renew my tickets.

I liked the designs they drew up earlier with luxury boxes and the home locker rooms moved to the North Endzone. I stand by my earlier post to add a party deck on top of the North stands with a video board above. Make it 21+ to be up there.

The SEC is tough. You can have a top 12 class and be 6th or 7th in conference. The coaching turnover doesn’t help either. The 2015 ranking would have been leftover Chizik recruits(which were really good) and Gus’s miracle season and what started as a very “solid” 2014 season recruits. I bet 2017 and 2019 were pretty sporty as well.

Pretty amazing how much better it got once Hugh got involved. I know Hugh is all for autonomy but he gave a lot of Auburn fans heartburn having to sit through Monty’s misadventures the first 6 games. It’s AUmazing how the defense doesn’t get gassed running tempo either.

I remember watching him run it back and thinking that’s cool but it doesn’t count. I figured we’d go to overtime. Everybody else was losing their mind and I was just standing there waiting for the refs to come on and say the runner was down where he caught the ball, end of the 4th qtr.

What would we do without Maction? I think Beamer has one more year. He lost his OC and probably his best player to FSU. Maybe this is that transition year where they have a lot of young guys playing? He’ll need to turn it around next year. I’m sure beating Clemson will cure a lot of what ails that fan base.

I want to go back to all the people who thought we’d destroy Cal and were dismissive of those who were worried. On the road, across the country, new everything. That game had danger written all over it.
