  1. Well we signed just two high school linemen for our position group of greatest need
  2. Is the the only offensive lineman we are recruiting? Its what it feels like.
  3. If Cadillac goes 3-1 and finishes with a top 25 recruiting class why wouldn't he get a second year? Auburn alumn with NFL connections? I want to see how this plays out. He might be exactly who we have needed.
  4. To be fair the offensive line couldnt stop a moped
  5. 28-0 Auburn. Harsin Leaves TJ in to get into and stay in rhythm. Ashford is used for 4th and Goal situations and the defense finally takes the gloves off forcing turnovers.
  6. I'll settle for 3* at this point. I really hope Harsin is the guy. I do. I don't waan't us to look back and miss the "Offensive Genius" days.
  7. Then Harsin might want to start recruiting. He only signed 18 out of a possible 24 scholarships last cycle.
  8. It all comes down to "If Harsin can recruit" and rebuild the program after the C-USA talent Malzahn left us with.
  9. Correct. I was referencing Malzahns offensive talent in my statement. We put far more defensive players into the League than offense. His development of any position other than running back was just terrible.
  10. I would rather have a #20 recruiting ranking and develop the players than a top 10 under Malzahn and those players not get any better over the next 3-4 years than the day they finished high school. My complaint with Harsin was only signing one offensive lineman, two D lineman, and two linebackers. I have no doubt his ability to develop players but he does need players to coach.
  11. I wonder why he didn't declare for the Draft? It obviously, wasn't to finish his career out at Auburn. Yes. Bo would have completed 71% of his passes this year if it wasn't for the receivers and harsin would have probably gone 11-1 2015 Gus went 6-6 2-6 in the SEC and that included three cupcake games. Back to remedial math and history for you. You'll learn that 3-5 is better than 2-6.
  12. So that is a fact. Bo Nix has passed for the most yards of any Auburn QB. However, he isn't getting drafted after three years. How does his best season compare to other QBs? Look, I am not saying Nix is bad. He likely would have won the Heisman is anyone other than Gusx coached him. His ceiling his tremendous IMO, but he was going no where with Gus. Gus left poor receivers and an o-line. Nix still had his best season under Harsin. Also, if you are crediting Gus, Bo completed no better than 59% of his passes under Gus. Thats OK. No great or amazing, not bad, just ok. So yes Nix threw for more yards than any Auburn QB in school history, but has a lot of incomplete passes. A percentage that will not get him to the NFL. Bo's stat is quantity over quality. So NO Gus cannot develop a QB.
  13. Cool, tell me where to look for the Nix stat. More than Nick MArshal? Nix's best season vs Cam? NIx vs Stidham? I do want to see those stats? Last I saw were people calling for Nix to get benched for Finley. That didn't work but also doesnt say a lot about Nix. Harsin, again time will tell. I will admit Harsin failed to take advantage of the transfer portal and that is just frustrating. As far as breaking his win streak, dont bother with youre pathetic sarcasm. It is those cupcake teams that would have given Gus his "Solid" eight win season in 2020
  14. We really need to work on your sarcasm for starters. Gus had a 7-6 season that looked worse from start to finish than Harsin initial season. Also that was year three for Gus. They were his player because even under Chizik the offense was recruited for Malzahns system. if Harsin turns out to be an 8-5 coach then I will change my tone. Yet, under Gus, a high school QB was never once developed. Receivers struggled once in the NFL, offensive line recruiting was neglected for four straight cycles, part of that was Malzahns very poor o-line development. Harsin had to spend all of year one teaching the line how to be an actual line. Un-teach Nix bad habits, teach the receivers how to be college receivers. Our offense had to go from learning a high school system where you run a jet sweep on 3rd and 14 (because no one knows why) or throw it deep on 3rd and 1 to learning how to make reads. Harsin may or may not be the guy but Gus proved in eight years he definitely was not. He lost four games his initial season with a very weak non conference record. This is his last year with Heupels players then he will start to regress.
  15. You're right I dont know why said that. Except for Shenkers quote: Listen and Listen Carefully: @CoachHarsin is my football coach! He is the leader I want to have in my corner. If you have a problem with his Discipline, Toughness, and Conviction that he instills in his players than get your entitled, selfish, and soft tail out away this program. . Also, when Lee Hunter said "The reason I chose to leave Auburn because we got treated like we wasn't good enough, and like dogs," Hunter wrote When a reporter did an Instagram interview with Hunter and asked for specific reasons, Harsin is unreasonable with players being late to practice, team meetings, or class. Harsin would then take disciplinary action. What kind of action? Suspended from practice, facilities, weightroom, team meetings for one week. SO YEAH. A BUNCH OF UNDISCIPLINED CRYBABIES THAT GUS 8-5 MALZAHN CREATED
  16. I agree. Some players did like raised expectations. The Media paid more attention to the undisciplined crybabies leaving than the stars that stayed and what they had to say
  17. Especially with of the field coaches trash talking him.
  18. I was at the UT game back in 08 I think. Sell out crowd. Glad our womens team can still kill it.
  19. If you look at Masons recruiting at Vandy it appeared there was always for emphasis on his side of the ball.
  20. Great points. I forget which draft it was. Not to long ago two offensive linemen went in the first round of the NFL draft. Their schools? Northern Illinois and Alabama State. Offensive line is the hardest to project however, how much grief does a coach take for passing on a 4 or 5 star? Bottom line Harsin and Friend need to step it up. Line was a problem before they were hired, they accepted the job now it is their problem. Failing to sign at least four highschool linemen, 2 JUCO guys, and at least to transfers makes them part of the problem. Analyst say the 2023 class will be far better. we will see. Remember Rule #76: No excuses, play like a champion.
  21. Gus would have coached this team to 7-5. Trade the LSU win for a Miss State win
