The NCAA tourney is ALL about guard play, especially in the early rounds. Today, Yale’s played better.

Egg on face for sure. The selection and placements this year were/are absurd. I’d like to hear the almighty committee on their choice of Virginia now…SO MANY other teams deserved their spot.

UConn is great but this old fart lives day by day, one game at a time. It’s true AU and UConn got shafted on the brackets. As Al Davis used to say, “just win baby.”

Then how the heck did Virginia even make it to the field????

Wonder how this “committee” works? All schools have rivals but I’m sure it doesn’t help us that the bammer AD is on this selection committee

Not sure he was brought in to be PG, but somewhat forced into that role it seems. Aden was a talented PG who could shoot but gets overtaken very easily (by taller defenders and rim demons)

Seems some zebras still have an issue w CBP teams. Refs are refs, but some fouls today were just absurd and phantom as you said. overall great team effort tho

That year put me over the top as a young AU boy. I turned 11 during that season. Still remember jumping up and down after the sugar bowl, just knowing we’d be #1 (pesky pollsters robbed us). I had gone to games before but the 2 I saw in person that year cemented my love.

Without the “good” JW, gonna be very tough. Guess we will know more by Monday sometime

Wish I could go. Maui is beautiful and so was Lahaina. Loved that little town. Lots of places to stay but if you can swing a condo at Montage on Kapalua Bay, it’s unreal resort on northern end of Maui. The PGA plays on one of the courses there. But…as I am used to the Gulf and Caribbean, the Pacific is COLD. and yes, thank you CBP
