Recruiting has always been about relationships rather than the school

I hope the QB race is fair and everybody gets a real chance. Usually QB competitions ain’t really competitions at all and coaches have their mind made up before they actually say anything.

Something I’ve learned over the years is that If you have to keep making excuses for your QB then you don’t have the right guy

It should just be a truly open competition. Usually QB competitions ain’t even really competitions, coaches know who they’re taking before camp ends. If Freeze sticks by PT without giving everybody else a true chance then Freeze might not be an Auburn coach for long

Auburn fans always think coaches have secret plans like they’re 2 steps ahead or something when that’s not really the case. Freeze admitted himself he was struggling in the portal. He said out loud what we already knew but it’s good to see we got a potential contributor now. Hopefully he becomes a really good player for us because I liked this guys tape coming out of HS

I’ve seen some Texas fans say that the Texas coaches asked him to look elsewhere and wanted new bodies at their safety positions

I’m talking about the safety transfer. I wonder why he wanted to go from Texas to Auburn? Did he have like a big time recruit that was about to replace him or something?

Aww man here we go again. I don’t like the way this looks. I know how Auburn fans are, when we have a new coach majority like to blindly follow the coach and always believes he has a plan in place when that’s not always the case. Hopefully Freeze knows what he’s doing but this ain’t a good look imo

Gus got a Bama WR to transfer to him a year or 2 ago and he just produced a 1000 yard year. Never thought I’d see the day a Gus offense produce an 1000 yard season but he did so Gus is definitely going to attempt to take a few Bama players too

Must’ve not got that much interest in the portal. He should’ve went to a smaller school so he could get more carries because I doubt his carries increase next year unless the offense takes a major step up and has more plays to where the ball can be spread around more

It’s funny how fans always say to be patient with Freeze but fans don’t show that same patience with the coordinators. It takes time to get adjusted to a different team. Freeze has a lot going on right now that he needs to get sorted out, wayyy too much movement

Damn Brian Kelly been killing it at LSU s far. He got to the SEC championship his first year, took a step back but still had a good year this year. Now he’s got the #1 player at 3 different positions for the ‘25 class? I thought it wasn’t possible to have on field success and recruiting success at the same time? /s

Freeze is definitely in over his head right now. Seems like things are moving too fast for him. Things should slow down for him as he gets more adjusted at Auburn but he’s struggling to balance things right now.

He was struggling to make any throw all game so I doubt even in garbage time he would’ve made any of the throws HB made

It’s getting to point where I think portaling is more important. Peoples always say it’s important to build with HS guys and use the portal to fill in the rest but HS guys can leave too. It’s not a guarantee they’ll stay

Joe Brady had Joe Burrow. Burrow and those all star receivers made the coaches look good. He wouldn’t replicate that success at Auburn, he’s the OC with the Bills now I doubt he wants to come back to college just to not even call plays
