Auburn has bodies in the RB room but I wouldn’t call it loaded. Judkins is better than all those guys in our RB room and our RB’s aren’t bad either, he’s just better

You can tell he’s used to being stronger than everyone when it come to HS football but now he’s going against other 4/5 stars so you can’t just stop like he did because he almost broke his back (he still won the rep though)

I wouldn’t be mad at that but whoever the QB ends up being he better show something because recruits won’t stay for long anymore. If Coleman and Perry don’t like what they see at QB then we won’t have them for long. Hopefully the QB battle is an actual battle and Freeze gives everybody a legitimate shot with no biases

Freeze can’t do that. You can’t recruit hard and coach a game. It’s not possible /s

Freeze probably promised him they’d use him as a gadget player and get the ball in his hands and it just didn’t happen

Not surprised. I knew Somebody out of the RB’s was going to leave. Just wasn’t enough carries to go around especially when your offense is going 3 and out constantly

Im Not saying run him out of town. But I just don’t like the excuses I see from some fans making it seem like you have to choose between coaching and recruiting when you’re paid to do both

Not surprised. Not only did Thorne’s bowl game performance break the fan base it broke Hugh Freeze too. He was convinced after the iron bowl that Thorne turned the corner but after the bowl performance he couldn’t take it no more. Im glad he’s seemingly not acting stubborn and trying to get more help

Yeah some fans make it seem like we have to choose either/or when he’s been paid millions to do both coach and recruit and if he’s struggling to do both then we have the wrong coach

Also Maryland was playing a backup Quarterback who hasn’t had any reps in 2 years and he still looked more competent than Thorne has who’s had 3 years of starting experience. If you were a casual fan who didn’t know know anything about either team you would’ve thought the Maryland QB was the more experienced one and thought Thorne was the backup

Freeze basically opted out of this whole season and that’s not fair to the upperclassman on the team

It’s definitely a cause for concern. Freeze keeps selling everyone on recruiting and the future but he can’t keep using that excuse. He put a horrible product on the field to the point where we shouldn’t panic but we should definitely be concerned. Even though it’s his first year, this game today and the NMSU game were some of the worst football Auburn has ever played

The game was over by the end of the first quarter and Thorne still didn’t look good

It never was just the receivers, don’t get me wrong they still aren’t that good but Auburn fans wanted to blame everyone but Thorne just because he made a few good runs this year. QB’s who are actually good eventually show they have “it” at some point. Thorne never showed it this season. You can’t continue to blame the OL and receivers every time something bad happens on offense. At some point you have to look your QB and realize maybe he ain’t that good

I can’t take seeing Thorne as starting QB for another year I don’t care if our weapons will supposedly be better next year. He’s just not good

It’s not just talent issues, it’s coaching issues too. This performance is inexcusable on every level

Yeah he’s at orange beach now. They won state a few weeks ago

I wish White was playing in the UA game. That would’ve been a good head start throwing to Thompson and Coleman but White and Coleman will be reporting to Auburn in a few weeks anyway so it’s not a big deal

It’s not surprising tbh. He wasn’t a pass catcher at all. The only thing his HS had him doing was blocking majority of the time

Damn that’s basically our whole class starting school within the next couple weeks and a few are already there and practicing

Interesting, you don’t see that too often usually it’s the other way around and guys want to play CB rather than safety. They should just bring him in and figure it out

He’s got day 1 starter talent but he’s not an early enrollee iirc so it’ll be tough for even somebody with as much talent as him to be a day 1 starter because he’s playing catch-up with everybody else who’s already been there and learned the system
